Usually, I am more into classic rock, hard rock, and glam as well as heavy metal, actually, it’s rare when I listen to punk music, I cannot say that I avoid it but most of the topics aren’t my type, but I loved the maturity of the Merit Maker(s) and especially their latest ten tracks album, Attitude Is Everything. Joe Stanton or the mastermind behind Merit Maker started at early age discovering the music world as well as the punk one by playing several instruments until he settled on bass guitar to be the core of his musical songwriting. The project has released several albums, and since that I have checked many singles since last year, I believe that “Attitude is Everything” shows a distinguished punk rock signature flavored with screamo/hardcore vibes! I believe that Stanton used the concept of short, simple, and sweet to be his path for his musical journey because while listening to his ten-tracks album, I just noticed the duration of each is very small, still, it’s very rich with its vibes and professionalism. Frankly, it’s my best punk rock record in 2021 so far! Check out below and let me know what you think!
