Hailing from Boston, US the recently named “Performer Of The Year” in New England Music Awards ‘Jennifer Tefft’ releases a new single off of her forthcoming 6th album titled “Love And War” with a rocking enthusiastic sound.

‘Love And War’ begins with a rocking guitar riff accompanied by some groovy drumming and vocal warm-up that assesses the rocking vocal by Jennifer that engulfs the track with her sharp yet smooth vocal notes.

John Parillo is inspirational on the guitar with his riffs and picking throughout the track that add sharpness to the track and flame the vibe combing the heat of both love and war altogether in once place.

Hailing from Denver, the solo project ‘International Furlough’ that is frontlined by the multi-instrumentalist Ian Luddy released a hefty track titled “Haven” featuring drummer Ryan Elwood.

‘Haven’ begins with a hefty guitar riff alongside some groovy drumming that are later accompanied by the ‘megaphonic’ vocals giving the track a revolutionary vibe.

The basslines are unique and sharp and are super clear that it tickles your ears, a real 90’s signature alongside the heavy lyrical theme and the concept of being content and unable to blend in.

A new album is currently in the works to be released by ‘International Furlough’ but there are no other information regarding the content of the album Ian is working on.

‘Haven’ is an ongoing D-tuned guitar riff that blasts the ears along with groovy drum lines and sharp bass that inflame the track all the way.

Josh Long the San Fran’ self-taught musician released a new track titled “California Cowboy” with a stunning contemporary western vibe and experience mixed up with a modern pop theme.

“California Cowboy” begins with a sharp western electric guitar riff along with classic guitar chords that formulate the baselines for the experience.

Josh Long’s incredible production skills take you on a trip from the West to the East by combining classic rock and modern pop music entailing the concept of the track, which is when a free spirit is stuck in the wrong place for a long period of time and becomes jaded.

“California Cowboy” is sentimental and catchy at the same time, singing a catchy chorus and playing melodic tones that are put adequately to the lyrics give the track a shine that emerges through the production done by Josh himself to deliver the combination perfectly.

Hailing from Calgary, Canada the Alt-Rock band “The Muster Point Project” is releasing a new single off of their 5 track collaboration EP with vocalist Geoff Moore titled “I Love That Song” a very trolling title to a track to actually make us say “I love a song that is called I love that song” lol.

“I Love That Song” begins with a clean guitar riff that is mixed up with an Argentinian tango theme that sounded much closer to the Rolling Stones ballad “Gimme Shelter”.

With melodic vocals and nostalgic vibes, “I Love That Song” emerges and catches that tone in your ears, enlightening your chest with hope and peace that makes you enjoy the catchy tones and phrases.

The track is about when people come to the age when they must have a role model, suggested or passed down. As the track begins with “I grew up worshiping Gordie Howe” who was the role model of the lyricist.

Lyrically written by Geoff Moore, the percussion and drums were played by Marcelo Effori, emerged by the multi-instrumentalist Kevin Franco who introduced Guitars, Bass, Piano, Vibraslap, and most importantly his wonderful adventurous vocals.

The Muster Point Project will make you “Love That Song” but you must play it first, or just say its title out loud and you’ll find yourself saying the words.

Of all the causes there are to inspire a track, bananas might not force you into paying much attention. But that is the shallow fact, as the track is merely about the absurdity of helping capitalistic corporations gain more wealth and power over our existence.

From Glasgow, UK hails “Speak Easy Circus” releasing a new track titled “Gros Michel” And yup! They are the tasty type of bananas that used to be produced back in the 70s but allegedly they cant be produced nowadays by major farming organizations.

“Gros Michel” is nothing about bananas but it’s about the concept, the band firmly addresses “La Chiquita” the company that is responsible for producing nowadays “Cavendish” bananas while putting our lives at risk by poisoning the environment and causing birth disabilities with children as the band claims.

The track begins with clean guitar chords that are mashed with a jazz saxophone with hi-hat build up that completes the funky rhythms.

“Gros Michel” sounds at first as if it’s a late 80’s classic with a funky beat and a Jazzy melody, along with the splendid echoing vocals that initiate the vibe of angry youngsters in the ball eras. 

The solo was freaking terrific and turned the track into a contemporary classic rock ballad and affiliates the angry youngsters’ vibe, especially the epic Jazz breakdown prior to the solo. 

Hope for a green clean environment is a necessity, and the change is imminent, but will the capitalistic organizations adhere to the voice of the people? Whatever the result is, reward yourself with a “Gros Michel”.

“I Do Not Write Love Songs” is the newly released track by “The Candy Republic” the brit alternative rock band from Exeter. 

“The Candy Republic” release a track that is generally about relationships, and the changing cycle and forms it takes. The track has two parts that comprise the definite two stops every relationship goes through, the smooth lovely sparkle and the flaming hurtful cries.

“I Do Not Write Love Songs” begins with a smooth acoustic fingerstyle guitar riff that embraces the yearning feeling to be in a relationship and feel the romance within.

The second part of the track witnesses an emotional transition in concept and in music with an electro-guitar sound accompanied by an inspiring and heartfelt solo that emphasizes the cry after the reality of isolation.

The band wrote the ultimate guide for wanting to be a part of a relationship and how it feels to yearn for a partner and have them through your imagination and how cracking it is to look down on your shoulder to never finding any.

The Milwaukee alternative rock band “The Pulltops” release a single “Better Life” from their new EP titled “Between The Lines” emphasizing the concept of racing behind the wheels of happiness and the ultimate search for self-satisfaction and peace of mind but at the same time you are faced by the fierce enemies of the current modern life.

“Better Life” begins with a post-modern soft theme accompanied by electro drums and retro disco style combined altogether to embrace the overall concept of the track. Adding a bit of heat with the chorus multiplied the track’s quality and beauty x10 times.

Searching for a “Better Life” requires the self-belief of accomplishing such life, aside from the life we aspire for, there are tracks to enjoy to make life a better place.

Hailing from Philadelphia, USA with his second single,  the indie rock musician Alex Oneil releases his single “The Other Side” after releasing “C’mon” which was released previously within the same vibes as “The Other Side”.

“The Other Side” begins with a light dreamy classic guitar riff along with some inspiring keyboard notes that are later accompanied by soothing vocals of Alex’s to complete the photograph and assemble all of the elements that form the perfect escapist tunes.

Alex has a unique, full of life and bursts the joy in you, a signature that exists in his previous release “C’mon” which held almost the same artist’s signature.

The saxophone added to “The Other Side” brilliantly gave the relaxing, joyful touch to the track seamlessly making it even lighter and giving it a summer breezy touch for some beach time relaxation ballad.

I’ll surely be waiting for some future Alternative-Rock brilliance by Alex Oneil, how about you?

“Madness As Lift” begins with a howling wind sound accompanied by a mono guitar riff followed by the drums build up along with the stoner vocals of Kristopher Jung, which just hit you with the psycho doubled guitar riff and vocals with the amount of craziness that keeps going getting you up and excited for a pit.

MAL is using nasty build-up to the chaos brilliantly, with heavy guitar riffs and screaming vocals imposing the existence of madness and delivering the message the track was written to deliver. 

The track reminded me much of my personal favorite Avenged Sevenfold with their newly released album “Life Is But A Dream”, the track “Madness As Lift” is having things in common as the crazy vibes that fly all over the place along with the chaotic and progressive theme and the jumping from the mellow/mono vocals to the screams, and also same applies to the guitars, the basslines played by Peter Hollywood and drum lines played by “Brendan Reynolds”.

As mad as it gets, and as chaotic as it sounds, “Madness As Lift” will still be a real rock & roll track that enhances your energy and pushes you around in the pit.

• How did you start your journey with music?

Clumsily.  With a baritone ukulele a cousin had loaned me and a keen desire to be a great drummer and get ahold of a drum kit.  Eventually I did land a drum kit, but I wasn’t a very good drummer.  So I moved back to the baritone ukulele and then on to other things.

• Tell us about your previous releases. Which one is the closest to your heart?

Well I could say Next Door To Nowhere because it was my first solo record.  Or Good Luck Stranger because it kind of put me on map with indie-Americana magazines and fans.  Or Lone Star because it was the first one I self-produced.  Or Mectologie because it’s in French.  Or…. Hate to say it, but they’re all special in each way, I guess..

• Could you tell us How your music is featured in the Portuguese Media?

A young music licensing company from New York called Pump Audio found my music and asked if they could try and place some of my music.  Portugal’s biggest bank ended up selecting my song “Good To Know” to be featured in a year+ worldwide ad campaign on TV, Radio and the web. It ended up being real success for the company and I was interviewed by Wire magazine about it.

• How did it feel to have your music as themes for indie films and tv ads?

It’s always a rush when someone says they heard your song on the TV somewhere.

• So what is the story of the EP “Hotel In The Sky” and what is the concept?

I was reading a story about a singer and his hangers on and they’d congregate at a flat in the east end of London, which they dubbed “Hotel in the Sky”.  The title stuck with me so I put it in my notebook and wrote the lyrics from the title.  And then the music later.

• Which track is the closest to your heart from “Hotel In the Sky”?

Right now, probably Chateau Hill.

• How do you write your music? Tell us about the whole process.

You take songs however they come to you.  Music first, then lyrics. Lyrics first, then music.  If you’re really lucky you get both at the same time.  There’s an old saying about writing that says that “Inspiration is for amateurs.”  I kind of get that.  Probably like most songwriters I keep a notebook around with lyrics and titles and random couplets and whatnot and it eventually develops a table of contents and the ideas become songs and I hand write the page numbers so I can find quickly what I’m looking for.  Likewise, I keep a collection of musical ideas (riffs, chords changes, melodies, etc) on hand as well (these days it’s my iPhone, used to be a mp3 recorder, still is sometimes).  I do a lot of my writing in the mornings, with a coffee, before any internet or apps or screens zap my concentration and… inspiration.

• You seem to be an independent multi-instrumentalist and do the whole job on your own, why did you prefer working solo on this EP?

If I know what I want, I feel bad asking someone else to do it for me.  And on this record, basically all the parts were within my reach playing-wise guitar, bass, piano or whatever.  But I was stuck for a guitar solo on “Parting Gift”.  I couldn’t come up with anything I was pleased with myself.  So I reached out to my friend Cooper Walker (a stunningly accomplished artist in his own right) and asked him to give the solo a whirl.  After a little back and forth we quickly got the take you hear on the record.

• What do you do besides music?

I’m a keen happy hour connoisseur and a lazy francophone.

• Who are your major influences? How did that affect the album?

Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, JJ Cale, Elliott Smith, et al.  I wrote the songs pretty quickly.  I’m inspired by all those artists but I’m not sure how that manifests itself while I’m recording.  Elliott Smith, McCartney and Emitt Rhodes all self-recorded, so I think of them a lot if I get stuck.  My main mantra is to remember to keep it all in my reach.  Don’t get out ahead of myself, especially on a straightforward rock and roll record like Hotel In The Sky.

• What is your favorite song of all time?

Oh man, that’s too tough!  I’ve got too many.

• Any upcoming gigs?

Always.  This Friday night at Lost Chord Bar in Solvang, CA.  Saturday at Kalyra Winery in Santa Ynez, CA.  4th of July weekend at Dana V Wines in Solvang.  And the list goes on.

• Lastly, a word to your fans.

Of course “Thank you!”.  The generosity and support I’ve received from fans has been humbling and touching.  From overpaying for a record, to giving me a couch to crash on when I’m on tour, to buying me beer or a meal, to hosting house concerts and on and on.  I’ve been really fortunate.
