Five songs of bold Alt-Rock that clock in +16 minutes that don’t mess around.

The guitar is just REAAAAALLY good, like gaging good like if it was a desert, people would fight over it.

The first song, ‘Holy’ –with currently +26K streams on Spotify, starts right off the bat unapologetically strong, then the brassy, playful and sensual vocals take you in as the eye of a hurricane.

Again, though with a different energy, the guitar takes the centre of the stage from the first second on track number two, ‘Rockstar’ (+10K streams on Spotify and counting).

The whole album goes on like that through the entire five-track compilation until you are left with a buzzing and welcomed head blown to pieces.

The Now is a four-piece band from South Wales who, although they only started playing together in 2018, is determined to stand out with their unique sound.

‘The Truth Always Comes Out In The End’ was preceded by two critically acclaimed singles, ‘Shoot Them Down’ and the previously discussed track above, ‘Holy’, showcasing the talent of this brilliantly British Rock act.

‘The Truth Always Comes Out In The End’ is a motif around a mysterious individual who uses ransom notes to communicate. The remarkable work and music from The Now’s haunting talent leave an indelible impression on the listener, leaving us wanting to hear more from them.

Get ready to listen to Parallel and their self-title album made of six songs, almost 20 minutes of pure lush and austere, original sound.

Parallel’s music is like a cross over between Arctic Monkeys and Bloc Party. Some guitar riffs give us The Fratellis vibes, while some bass undertones remind us of Interpol.

As hundreds of music artists would relate, this EP was written predominantly during the pandemic, distanced, with masks on. A sense of longing, anxiety and isolation looms large over the record.

“Like a rainbow captured in shades of grey” –, Parallel draws inspiration from kaleidoscopic Post-Punk melodies. Yet, the band still proves to be able to know how to craft beautiful and ethereal melodies while vocals-wise is more psychedelic and dreamy.

The US-based band started playing together in the fall of 2019 and finally made its live debut in July 2021. Their main music influences go from The Chameleons, Sad Lovers and Giants to Slowdive, Wire and Low.

The four-person band released their debut self-titled mini-album on Cherub Dream Records in April 2022 and just went on a West Coast tour from Vancouver to Tijuana in May 2022.

Parallel’s album is hauntingly soft, gentle and distinctly smooth. The conversation between the instruments and the vocals is natural, with a slow and melancholic accent. The final result is a soothing compilation of Dream-Pop sounds.

The latest album by The Quiet Drinks is out, ‘Grand Atlas’, is a Soft Rock compilation of six songs clocking in 20’ 20’’.

“Grand Atlas is an adventurous road trip across Indie-Rock planes, with the intermingling of psychedelic and Americana” –The Quiet Drinks.

The first track ‘County Affair’ is a very upbeat tune to get you going, whether is to start off your day, your work or workout, or to make your commuting less monotonous.

‘Talk and Talk’ could be the intro song or part of the soundtrack for one of those tragic, mysterious TV shows or movies, that narrates the story of how people, connect and then drift apart back to being strangers.

Track #3 ‘Sweet’ cheery and positive tone and rhythm that invites everyone to stand up, dance and shake all your demons away.

‘Evaporate’, track #5, brings down the beat and plays with a more mellow tone, as if to slowly fade out and calm things down.

The vocals remind us of an upbeat, playful version of London Grammar and Lana del Rey’s. While the instrumentation has an excellent equilibrium of melodies thanks to the variety of instruments: guitars, drums, and a tambourine here and there, among many others. All in all, ‘Grand Atlas’ has an outstanding balance between happy, rosy songs and more soothing, mellow tracks. These give an overall sense of storytelling, a remarkable arrange of styles and sounds and “ephemeral watercolour lyrics.”

Darià Artiola releases his first self-titled solo album, full-on 80s Rock and Alt-Rock. The compilation of 10 songs revolves around some of the mantras of his generation: the millennials.

Barcelona-based singer and songwriter debuted an album that advocates feminism, ecology, pollution, and the repercussions of the protests that set fire to the streets of Barcelona in 2019 in his first solo album.

Darià was raised with the Sonoran desert on the horizon but with the Mediterranean Sea in his heart. The dry Arizona weather shaped him, and his participation in the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus helped him discover the world of music that he loves to the core.

Today, known for his collaborations with several DJs under the artist name of Aroarer, he finally presents himself with his own work.

The first track of the album ‘Feeling in Your Heart’ kicks off with a strong Rock baseline and distinct vocals.

The middle track and interlude ‘Ghosts of Summer’ has a haunting effect, with an acoustic, supernatural guitar, and mysterious and bold vocals. Even though the tempo is slower than other tracks, its beat is alluring and captivating.

He released ‘Questions that Spin’ as a single in 2021. So forward to today, we have ‘Darià Artiola’ album, with the track slightly edited and forming part of his latest compilation.

The intro of the song’s version in the album has a more taunting effect that slowly pedals its way to the song’s core, maintaining its dark but resolute rhythm.

‘That’s Ok’ is a beautiful Rockish ballad to sign off the album. One of the most upbeat tunes in the collection. The song talks about someone who has accepted their current situation, even though the outcome could have been better.

Overall, within ‘Darià Artiola’, there is a song for every taste. He shows a portrait of his music with a solid balance between loudness and mellow, breathy tones. Meanwhile, the various topics of his music touch down on real-life, day-to-day issues.

‘Warmth Of The Sun’ is the latest Alt-Country single by Tyler Elden. With a leading soft tone and a hint of gentle riffs from the guitars. This track may become a classic piece for all rustic souls.

Though it mainly has a bright and inspiring tempo, the tune becomes a bit melancholic during the song’s second half.

“Warmth Of The Sun is a culmination of multiple figures in the New Jersey area music

community.” –Tyler Elden.

The vocals got a slightly brassy ring that adds a Bluessy/ darker Americana accent to the whole piece.

Tyler is a US-based singer/ songwriter whose music incorporates various influences ranging from progressive Rock to Folk.

After years of multiple independent releases, live performances across the East Coast and local Philadelphia venues, and finally, Tyler is prepped for a prolific year of writing and recording upon building his new studio.

Single releases are planned monthly throughout the year, along with an alternative rock EP featuring his backing band. Additionally, he is touring extensively across the US in the summer of 2022.

Being that the case, we look forward to seeing what Tyler Eden has in store for the music industry and passionates.

‘Warmth Of The Sun’ displays a very organic sound, with an easy-going rhythm. Tyler’s voice knows how to play around to match the tempo of the melody.

When is the last time you heard an organic sound with uplifting verses to sing along with? Look no further, ‘Breathe’ counts with upbeat, Celtic-rooted songs, bittersweet ballads, mellow tones, and rockin’ guitar riffs.

For Folk/ Celtic tunes and reconnecting with your inner Celt, try the track title ‘Breathe’ and ‘The Storm’. These are songs that take you places and on a journey to valleys of Acoustic/ Folk strings.

If you wanna kick off with acoustic, soft tunes, or if you are someone who likes to reminisce and soak up in sorrow but meaningful lyrics, go straight to songs like ‘The Overload’, ‘Somewhere’ or ‘The Finish Line’.

On the other hand, if you want something that smashes your eardrums and takes charge of your heartbeat’s speed, play ‘The Gods of Rock and Roll’ (of course) or ‘Smiling Eyes’. Songs that promise a lot of headshaking and bouncing at the beat of the drums.

Stellar Anderson, a Scottish singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, released her first solo EP in 2021, called The Book of Stellar Vol. 1. Eventually, it grew into a 10 track album ‘Breathe’ –her latest new album released alongside her band ‘The Stellar Anderson Project’, is a compilation of 10 Alt-Folk/ Alt-Country songs clocking in over 30 min.

The vocals are elegant, clear and feel very connected with the music. You can tell there is a strong relationship among the band members.

The Stellar Anderson Project came to be just as COVID’s lockdown ended in 2021. Somehow, each member knew each other and were somehow all already connected and ready to play music, with years of experience and passion for it.

The Leeds-based band sees the rest of 2022 sees the band continuing to play around the country and hopefully the globe to pass Stellar’s songs to many more enraptured audiences.

There is no better banter and banter anthem than the one that comes from Scotland. As if it was destined, The Stellar Anderson Project came together for a reason.

Being a compliment, it is hard to describe what this song is about, there are techno beats and drums, among many more elements.

The song was written during a period of self-doubt, where Nathaniel took the opportunity to create this song.

“We all make mistakes. Then we have to live with them. This is about moving on from that time.” –Nathaniel Paul.

The track has a heavy psychedelic intro that quickly adds dreamy vocals. This is probably one of the best combinations for a summer hit.

Then around 0:40 has fantastic surf, a retro turn that pleasantly surprises you, and better news, it happens a couple of times more throughout the song. Every time you think you got the hang of what the theme is all about, something new begins.

The latest single from Nathaniel Paul’s upcoming release, “Turpentine”, is out this summer. The title track already has +13K streams on Spotify.

Brooklyn-based USA Nathaniel Paul is a singer-songwriter and producer who has released music since 2020. His main influences are LoFi Rock and guitar music. With ‘Just Memories’, he opens a world of dreams and takes us on a journey of kaleidoscopic fantasies.

This is a song to be played on repeat and to show off as a unique find to your friends. Granted, Nathaniel Paul is also an artist to watch out for. We have hit follow and look forward to listening to more of his work in the, hopefully, not so far future.

‘Winning Heart’, a spacey, Art / Acoustic Rock track right from Georgia, USA, is the first song from Marian Simmons’ collaboration with Philip Truitt.

The melody of this track is a rhythmic downtempo voyage that counts with both acoustic and electronic elements. This symphonic texture offers a soft, lo-fi sound experience to the ear while also narrating an engaging story about two lovers.

‘Winning Heart also plays with the intro and outro effect, starting off and finishing with the same kaleidoscope, mysterious mark, as if the tune was a wave of sounds that subtly came in and out like a dream.

The romantic track is a duet about two strangers who meet and their effect on each other after the encounter. Both of them, from different worlds, have a fated experience and then depart.

‘Winning Heart’ came together when Philip presented Marian with the track. She quickly grabbed the lyrics, and the characters began to evolve into a storyline while they worked diligently to create this piece of music.

Marian and Philip met through mutual family and got into the studio in 2020 to start producing and recording their music.

The main musical influences for Marian is Classic Rock and practically anything you can dance to. While for Philip, it’s Brit Rock from the 60s and Symphonic Music.

With such a charismatic mix of tastes, it’s no wonder that ‘Winning Heart’ is a rare gem. This song is a total odyssey not just from the musical perspective but also an emotional one.

Teen Mortgage transports us to a world of guitars and pavement with their new Punk/ Rock single ‘SMOKED’, which throws us back to simpler and rawer times.

The song itself is dedicated to that moment while skateboarding when you either land your trick or literally break a leg.

While it begins with a riffy guitar and ends as abruptly as when you trip and fall on the floor, finding yourself confused as to how you got there.

The rough instrumentation delivers the feeling of a fast-paced life, where amongst all the chaos and noise, people get to build up themselves and become tougher and more decisive.

The music video is a collab between Teen Mortgage and Superstone Skateboarding, a skateboarding content brand and community. It reminded us of the 90s’ MTV videos when the cool thing to do was hang out in a park instead of posting non-stop on social media. Yes, there was a Nokia, tougher than the ankles of these skaters.

For those who don’t skate, this song will either convince you or give you a better understanding of the hard work and strong core you have to be a skater.

The Washington D.C.-based band has proof through ‘SMOKED’ that they have a solid understanding of a good Garage Punk song.

Even more, the pace of the melody is so powerful and bold that it doesn’t leave space to let you do anything else but absorb the moment.

‘36’ album is a Rock/ Pop compilation made out of ten songs that clock in 36 minutes and 36 seconds. Coincidence? We don’t think so *mindblown emoji*.

“The album represents the journey of enlightenment and coming of age.” –Toby ‘The Magic Epic’ Juan.

You can feel this with each song –the name title sums up precisely the feelings each track evokes, while the melody of each piece is very breathy, calm and otherwordly.

The intro ‘Starts with a Feeling’ and outro song ‘Ends with a Feeling’ deliver a proper presentation and closure to ‘36’. Both tracks are short acoustic pieces that are minimal and elegant –each lasting less than a few minutes.

‘Take On Me’ is the dreamy, more acoustic version of the original by a-ha. TME’s performance will take you to cloud nine if you were already a fan of this song.

‘Summer’ is where Coldplay meets U2. This mellow, dynamic track tastes like sunsets, wet grass and

The Epic Deluxe track ‘Sangria’ sounds the same way the drink tastes, made out of guitars (of course), trumpets and TME’s display of Spanish vocabulary.

It could take days to describe each track of ‘36 adequately’. The details included in composition, lyricism, and singing are equally complex, delightful and romantic.

The Magic Epic has got +17K monthly listeners on Spotify, and out of their album ‘36’, the top three songs so far seem to be ‘Sally’ with currently +68K streams, ‘Take On Me’ with +51K and ‘More Than Just Pretty’ with +21K.

Now based in Brighton, TME initially lived in London. However, he has crossed the country and used his adventures and experiences across the UK to create his music.

The Magic Epic knows how to create work that gets noticed. His ability to highlight through his music ordinary moments that we usually take for granted and the importance of celebrating life is outstanding. In the same way, his passion for composing and playing music reflects majestically through each note and verse sung.
