Stepping away from the folk-rock and driving alt-indie textures of their previous work, Sunshine & Gasoline sees the band leaning heavily into an irresistible, guitar-driven neo-reggae groove. It is an infectious, open-road anthem built specifically for long summer drives and pure camaraderie with good friends.

Trading the synthesizers of yesteryear for breezy, human-played production, Sunshine & Gasoline effortlessly bridges the gap between the relaxed, syncopated pocket of The Elovaters and the gritty, acoustic-electronic hybrid pop of Milky Chance. The track hits the listener like an instant shot of warm weather, kicking off with an inviting, rhythmic guitar scratch before swelling into a full-band chorus destined for festival sing-alongs.

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO – Acclaimed Dutch singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Harry Kappen will release his poignant new single, “Distant Shore,” on May 21. The track is the latest offering from his acclaimed album, After the Crossing — the first full-length album written and recorded following his move from the Netherlands to Mexico.

Written, performed, and produced entirely by Kappen, “Distant Shore” is an emotionally charged meditation on displacement, survival, and hope. Inspired by the countless stories of refugees risking everything to escape war, poverty, and violence, the song reflects on the desperation and courage of those seeking a safer future for themselves and their children.

“When I voluntarily made my own crossing to Mexico, I realized what a privilege it was to have a choice,” says Kappen. “It’s impossible to compare my experience to those forced to flee under life-threatening circumstances. I have enormous respect for their courage and determination.”

Driven by haunting mellotron textures and cinematic arrangements inspired in part by David Bowie’s iconic “Space Oddity,” “Distant Shore” blends atmospheric art-rock with deeply human storytelling. The track captures both the physical peril and emotional uncertainty of migration through evocative lyrics and Kappen’s expressive vocal performance.

“Distant Shore” follows the successful release of Kappen’s previous single, “Balance,” and further showcases the artistic depth and emotional honesty that have become hallmarks of his music.

Born in Groningen in the north of the Netherlands, Kappen built his musical foundation performing in numerous rock bands and creating productions for Dutch radio and television. Alongside his music career, he spent more than two decades working in youth care as a music therapist and later lectured in an international master’s program in music therapy. His therapeutic background helped shape him into a versatile multi-instrumentalist capable of connecting deeply through music.

Now based in Mexico City, Kappen plans to continue both his musical journey and his therapeutic work on a smaller scale while embracing a new chapter of life and creativity.

After the Crossing marks Kappen’s fifth album since the Covid era, following Escape, Time Will Tell, Four, and now After the Crossing. Across those releases, he has developed a distinctive sound informed by artists such as David Bowie, Prince, Jeff Beck, Thom Yorke, and The Beatles, while carving out a voice uniquely his own.

In recent years, Kappen has earned significant recognition for his songwriting and artistry, including an Elite Music Award for Songwriter of the Year and an Independent Music Network Award for Favorite Impact Artist. He has also received nominations from organizations including the ISSA Awards and Josie Music Awards, while attracting growing international streaming audiences across digital platforms. For more information, please visit www.harrykappen.com

Built around shimmering melodies, beachside imagery, and an effortlessly cool groove, “Cool Shades” captures the escapist magic of sun, sand, romance, and freedom. Blending polished pop hooks with relaxed coastal rock textures, the song radiates a carefree spirit while still carrying the emotional sincerity that has become a hallmark of ARGYRO’s songwriting.

“All of my songs begin with a feeling or a visual,” said Argiro. “With ‘Cool Shades,’ I wanted listeners to disappear into a perfect summer moment — somewhere peaceful, beautiful, and untouchable for a few minutes. It’s about escape, connection, and letting yourself drift.”

Written and composed entirely by Scott Argiro, “Cool Shades” showcases the artist’s remarkable one-man-band approach. Under the ARGYRO banner, Argiro performs lead and backing vocals, keyboards, bass guitar, ukulele, drums, auxiliary percussion, and programming. The track also features veteran guitarist Damon Wood, whose résumé includes performing with soul legend James Brown.

Recorded in Castle Pines, Colorado, Glitterati was mixed, mastered, and co-produced by Jesse O’Brien in Denver, helping shape the project’s sleek, radio-ready sound while preserving its personal, independent spirit.

ARGYRO has continued building momentum throughout 2026 following the release of his single and video “The Phenomenon,” which followed the UK iTunes chart successes of “Lifeline” and the album’s title track. His recent releases have earned growing international attention for their blend of cinematic visuals, polished songwriting, and genre-bending pop-rock production. Beyond music, Argiro has also gained recognition for his work in film, including an appearance in the Amazon Prime feature Christmas Cards, further showcasing his versatility as both a musician and entertainer.

With “Cool Shades,” ARGYRO leans fully into feel-good escapism without sacrificing authenticity. The result is a shimmering summer anthem designed for beach drives, rooftop nights, and anyone searching for a little sunlight in uncertain times.

PITTSBURGH, PA – Acclaimed guitarist, singer-songwriter, and mindfulness educator Patti Spadaro will release her new single, “Mystic Misfit,” on Friday, June 12, 2026. Blending soulful rock, improvisational jam-band energy, and spiritual introspection, the track delivers an uplifting message about authenticity, balance, and human connection.

Known for her fluid lead guitar work and heartfelt songwriting, Spadaro combines the two worlds that define her life and career: music and mindfulness. In addition to performing and recording, she teaches college courses in yoga, meditation, and a class she developed called “Mindfulness in Music.” “Mystic Misfit” reflects those influences with flowing guitar riffs, introspective lyrics, and an expansive musical atmosphere that feels both grounded and transcendent.

The song gradually builds into a soaring bridge inspired by nature, meditation, and higher consciousness, as Spadaro sings about breathing deeply among the trees, feeling energy, and “tuning in” to higher vibrations. Her soulful guitar solo provides an emotional release filled with melodic improvisation and uplifting tones.

At the heart of the song is the repeated refrain: “Meet me in the middle.”

“For me, that lyric has several meanings,” Spadaro explains. “Personally, it reminds me to find my own center and stay present. But it’s also about connecting with people from a grounded place. If we listen to each other more deeply, maybe we can discover some common ground and more unity.”

Lyrics and music for “Mystic Misfit” were written by Patti Spadaro. The recording features Patti Spadaro on guitars and vocals, Eric Kurtzrock on drums, Ryan Black on bass, and Cherylann Hawk on harmony vocals.

The single’s cover art was photographed by Spadaro herself during a yoga retreat in Colorado. Captured on her iPhone, the image of clouds parting to reveal a heart-shaped patch of blue sky immediately resonated with the song’s themes of openness, hope, and transformation.

“Mystic Misfit” follows the success of Spadaro’s acclaimed single “Glass Shatters,” an empowering anthem celebrating women’s resilience and breaking societal barriers. The song reached #95 on the UK iTunes chart, #12 on the Independent Music Network chart, #13 on Cashbox, #20 on National Radio Hits, and #78 on the World Indie Music Charts. Its music video also won “Best Music Video” at the Golden Lion International Film Festival and received an Honorable Mention at the Liberty Film Awards.

A respected figure in Pittsburgh’s music community and beyond, Patti has opened for legendary acts including Eddie Van Halen, Little Feat, and Melvin Seals & JGB. She is also set to tour with the acclaimed all-female Grateful Dead tribute band Brown Eyed Women in July 2026.

“Mystic Misfit” will be available on all major streaming platforms worldwide on June 12, 2026. www.pattispadaro.com

Singer-songwriter Maria Grazia Altea announces the release of her new single, “Don’t Do Don’t Say,” an eclectic, dreamlike track that moves through alternative rock, folk rock, and acoustic textures to explore one of the quieter truths of being human: how often we distort reality rather than face it for exactly what it is.

“My songs repaint the beauty and harshness of life in an atmosphere of dreamlike melancholy,” Altea says, “which, in some way, I believe brings comfort.”

“Don’t Do Don’t Say” lives entirely inside that idea. The atmosphere oscillates between dream and reality — never settling fully into either — mirroring the way the mind so often softens or reshapes what’s difficult to look at directly. The song does not offer easy resolution. It offers company. A space where the contradictions of daily life — the beauty and the harshness, arriving together, every day, without warning — can exist without needing to be simplified.

For Altea, the emotional truth of a song is the only thing that ultimately matters.

“I just love music. I think the most important thing is truly feeling what you sing or play. That’s how it connects with the audience; otherwise, it’s just a technical exercise. It’s a strange and unexplainable magic.”

That philosophy is exactly what comes through in the recording — and exactly what reviewers have responded to.

“In terms of genre, this is an eclectic work that features alternative rock, folk rock, and acoustic music. The result is rather dreamy and peaceful… Although there is a hint of melancholy in the piece, there isn’t anything depressing about it. Instead, it makes us contemplate our lives and the way we see things happening in the world around us… It is in Maria Grazia Altea’s singing that the song’s genuine emotions are brought out in full.” — Cherine Abulwafa, Rock Era Magazine

“Hollow” was written during a period of intense emotional pressure following Daniel Robinson’s major heart attack. The song captures the disorienting experience of feeling physically present yet emotionally absent — moving through life with a piece of oneself missing. It confronts inner emptiness, transforms vulnerability into strength, and represents a raw, unfiltered emotional release and turning point in the artist’s journey.

Senses of Fear is the creative identity of New York–based musician Daniel Robinson, a prolific songwriter known for fusing heavy metal, glam-thrash, dark rock, punk rock, and cinematic emotional soundscapes. Living in Grand Gorge, NY, Robinson draws inspiration from the isolation and stark atmosphere of the Catskills, channeling that environment into the emotional weight of his music. With more than 40 albums and singles released between 2007 and 2026, he has built a reputation for raw authenticity, relentless creativity, and a signature sound that blends aggression with vulnerability.

“Me and My Gold” is a song about longing for change while gripping the patterns you can’t quite bring yourself to break. It is an indie rock anthem with a vocal delivery that pays respect to Rufus Wainwright’s unguarded emotionalism. The song has been closing the band’s live sets all year, consistently earning encores from audiences across Sweden.

Northern Trails make warm, melody-first guitar pop that feels like it was always there — somewhere between the emotional depth of R.E.M.’s Automatic for the People, the sweeping melodic instincts of Keane, and the quiet grandeur of early Coldplay. Rooted in the 90s indie tradition, they make music for people who still believe in the power of a well-written song.

The band came together in Uppsala, Sweden in May 2022, when Christer Tinnerholm and Thomas Isberg decided it was time to spend a little less time on ultra running and a little more on pop music. Joined by Per Larsson and Ulf Eklund, they recorded Hearts Went Frozen EP and released it late 2023. Thomas Strömbom heard the single “AQ” on Swedish radio and asked if the band needed a keyboard player. Northern Trails has performed as a quintet ever since.

Since then the band has built a steady catalogue of singles and a growing reputation on the Swedish live circuit. In spring/summer 2026 they return with a run of new singles and a new EP.

The band’s new single, “In Every Heartbeat,” written by keyboardist Arild Sveum, explores the natural growth, warmth, and transformation of love. Musically, the track begins as an intimate piano ballad before unfolding into a powerful and dramatic symphonic rock piece, reflecting the intensity, unpredictability, and emotional depth of being in love.

BRANSON, MO — Stevie Lee Woods & The NRL Band announce the release of their new single, “Welcome to the Southland,” out June 9, 2026. Recorded at the prestigious Mansion Studios in Branson — a room where legendary artists have laid down some of country music’s most enduring tracks — the single benefits from the production expertise of Chris Omartian, Chris Armstrong, and Stuart Epps, the latter known for his work with Elton John. The result is a summertime country rock anthem built for singalongs, road trips, and the kind of communal joy that makes a song into a staple.

Led by Stevie Lee Woods — star of the hit TV show and stage production Nashville Roadhouse Live — the band has built a reputation nationwide for authentic, high-energy performances rooted in family tradition and a genuine love of country music. “Welcome to the Southland” distills everything that makes the band special into one current, contemporary sound that appeals across generations.

The song captures the band’s family traditions and patriotic spirit, wrapped in a sound that feels immediate and modern while staying true to where they come from. Woods has been clear about what this track means to him as a performer.

“This is one song I love to perform live and really love for the audience to experience live,” he says. “There is so much energy and synergy that evolves with the audience as the song progresses — you can see them singing each line.”

That live chemistry is exactly what makes “Welcome to the Southland” feel destined to become a country rock classic — a song built not just to be heard, but to be sung along to, night after night, by audiences who feel like they’re part of it the moment the first line hits.

“Welcome to the Southland” follows closely on the heels of the band’s powerful cover single “Where I Find God,” released March 13, 2026 — a country gospel rendition led by Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Stevie Lee Woods, backed by his award-winning band and featuring background vocals from Devin Callahan. Also produced by Chris Omartian and Stuart Epps, that release showcased a different, deeply soulful side of the band’s range, and underscored the versatility that defines everything they make.

Together, the two releases paint a picture of a band moving confidently across the full spectrum of country music — from soul-stirring gospel reverence to high-energy summertime celebration.
