While Melbourne was in the middle of the lockdown, Gilbert focused on the production of his alt-indie tune which ends up with an outstanding result. Frankly, his emotive vocals were the main reason to like the ‘Promised Land,’ definitely, the music is very nice, and I loved the backing vocals and how they served the track perfectly, but his voice is one of the most unique vocals that I have found recently in such alt-indie pop styles.
