Self-employed musician, songwriter, and producer Dr. M. has released his debut album Follow Me, a nine-track introduction to Adult Metal — an ambitious new subgenre that fuses the emotional depth and melodic sophistication of Adult Contemporary with the power and intensity of Heavy Metal.

All nine songs are performed by the exceptionally talented lead vocalist Maria Moon, whose voice anchors the album with both strength and nuance. Dr. M. wrote the music and the majority of the lyrics, programmed the drums and additional instruments, and handled the full mixing process himself. The final polish comes from Grammy-winning mastering engineer Svante Forsbäck, whose work elevates the project with professional clarity and impact.

Follow Me marks the arrival of a self-contained artistic vision: one artist writing, producing, and shaping an entire album that deliberately bridges two traditionally separate worlds. The result is music that aims for both emotional resonance and heavy sonic weight: Adult Metal in its purest form.

Several other highly skilled musicians also contribute to the recordings, adding further texture and energy to Dr. M.’s carefully crafted arrangements.

As a 39-year-old independent creator, Dr. M. has taken complete ownership of every stage of the process, from composition through production. Follow Me stands as both a personal statement and the opening chapter of a new musical direction.

About Dr. M.

Dr. M. is a self-employed songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. With Follow Me he introduces Adult Metal — a fusion of Adult Contemporary sensibility and Heavy Metal force and establishes himself as the primary architect of the genre’s first full-length statement.

Dr. M. has spent years building toward this. The Turku-based, 39-year-old songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist first surfaced back in 2019 with “The Climate Song (Before It’s Too Late),” and Follow Me is the full-length payoff of that solo groundwork, a nine-track debut built entirely around a genre he’s coined himself: Adult Metal, a deliberate collision of Adult Contemporary’s warmth with heavy metal’s scale and intensity. Nearly every credit on the album belongs to Dr. M. alone: the composition, most of the lyrics, the programmed drums and instrumentation, the mixing, with mastering handled by Grammy-winning engineer Svante Forsbäck. The one major outside contributor is vocalist Maria Moon, who sings all nine tracks and gives the record a human focal point around which Dr. M.‘s dense, self-built world can orbit.

For a solo project of this scope, the arrangements are genuinely incredible. There’s a real ambition to how melodic sensibility and metal’s dramatic weight get folded together here, and it rarely feels like two genres bolted onto each other; it feels like Dr. M. has actually built a coherent third thing out of them. The title track, which also opens the record, is the clearest statement of that intent, laying out exactly what this hybrid sound will be and doing so with enough confidence that it serves as both an introduction and a thesis statement.

“Welcome to Babylon” is the record’s most interesting swerve. Just as the album settles into the tone the opener established, this track pulls hard in a darker, heavier direction, and it plays like a deliberate homage to Rainbow’s “Gates of Babylon,” picking up that song’s sense of doom and grandeur and running it through Dr. M.‘s own production sensibility. It’s the kind of subversion that only works if the rest of the record has first earned the listener’s trust, and by that point in the tracklist, Follow Me has.

Maria Moon’s performance deserves real credit for holding all of this together. Metal vocals this theatrical can easily tip into camp, but she keeps the delivery grounded even as the instrumentation swings between contemporary polish and full metal weight underneath her. Given how much of Follow Me rests on one person’s vision, executed almost entirely in-house, it’s a remarkably assured debut, and “Adult Metal” as a genre concept feels less like a novelty and more like a real lane Dr. M. has carved out for himself.

Look, if you’re not already bleeding from the ears, you haven’t turned “Powered Up” loud enough. ADAM Music Project has kicked down the gates of your serotonin receptors and stomped on the accelerator with this turbocharged, genre-warping tribute to all things pixelated and primal. This isn’t just a song—it’s a neural overload, an 8-bit aneurysm that explodes out of your speakers like MegaMan mainlining Ministry and punching a hole through the PlayStation console.

You want subtlety? Go read a James Taylor record review. “Powered Up” is a bottle rocket jammed into your cerebral cortex, lit with the kind of fury that made Trent Reznor relevant and gave Atari kids wet dreams about robot apocalypses. It doesn’t just honor the MegaMan franchise—it rips it from the cartridge slot, gives it a chrome exoskeleton, and throws it into the mosh pit at a Nine Inch Nails concert circa 1994. It’s industrial thrash rock with acid-washed techno bark—like Rob Zombie hijacked Daft Punk and challenged Skrillex to a boss battle.

There’s this beautiful chaos to AMP—the band, not the volume (although that too)—like they raided the backstage of a Capcom convention and fused everyone’s angst, caffeine addiction, and controller-throwing fury into a sonic Frankenstein. And who’s holding the lightning rod? Adam DeGraide, mad doctor of melody, cyberpunk preacher of plug-in prophecy. He didn’t just create a band—he detonated a musical universe. With Dameon Aranda riding shotgun, DeGraide has managed to stitch together a circus of talent into a singular pulse-pounding, joystick-jamming force of nature.

Let’s talk personnel—because AMP isn’t your average ego-driven four-piece. It’s a rotating cast of gifted misfits, freaks, and warlords of riffage. Gabe Aranda, Lacy Saunders, Macie Cantrell, Hartleigh Buwick, Myra Beasley, Joel Driskell, and Adam Aguilar—each one stomping onto the track like a playable character with their own special move. Jay Gleason’s guitar solos melt the motherboard. Jeff Hall’s drumming feels like a CPU overheating in real time. And those vocals? Imagine getting roundhouse-kicked by a choir of boss-level banshees.

And yeah, I know—another band “inspired by video games.” Spare me. But this time it’s not kitsch, it’s communion. AMP doesn’t just reference gaming—it weaponizes it. “Powered Up” is the sound of nostalgia turned militant. It’s every moment you died in-game, screamed in real life, and hit continue with pure defiance.

The band’s already racked up millions of streams, which makes sense because their sound is the audio equivalent of mainlining adrenaline. They’ve lit up radio with “Punch Out” and are now touring with Aranda and The Founder, which is like throwing gasoline on a circuit board and calling it a soundcheck.

So here’s your warning: this isn’t background music. It’s foreground warfare. ADAM Music Project didn’t come here to play—they came here to dominate. “Powered Up” is more than a song. It’s an anthem for the glitch-hearted, the joystick-jaded, the pixelated punks and headphone heretics. Plug in. Turn up. Melt down.

And if Dr. Wily gets his hands on this track? We’re all screwed. But we’ll go down headbanging.

Check them out on Social Media and find out where they are on tour!

Frankie Muriel‘s “I’m Still Standing” is A FIERCE COMEBACK ANTHEM That Hits Hard

Frankie Muriel isn’t just making a return, he’s making a statement. With “I’m Still Standing,” the title track from his upcoming solo debut, the platinum-haired powerhouse behind KINGOFTHEHILL and Dr. Zhivegas reclaims the spotlight with unshakable confidence and undeniable style.

“I’m Still Standing” kicks off with a gospel-tinged atmosphere and an energizing hook, immediately setting the tone for a song that’s a pure rock ‘n’ roll fire.

Muriel is boldly reminding the world that he can dominate the rock scene any time he chooses. “People love to decide when someone should fade into the background,” Muriel says, but with this anthem, he’s clearly chosen to shine. The track pulses with resilience and empowerment, wrapped in clever musicianship and years of experience.

The guitars blaze with vintage rock intensity, blending glam-era flash with a gritty, modern edge. Every riff and solo feels purposeful, pushing the narrative forward with urgency and confidence. Paired with thunderous drums that strike like a heartbeat on fire, the rhythm section drives the song’s anthemic energy from beginning to end.

Muriel’s vocals are a powerhouse on their own, passionate, gritty, and melodic in all the right places. The gospel-inspired backing vocals add a chilling, emotional depth that elevates the entire track. As the song unfolds, you’re swept up in a raw energy experience with the powerful fusion of ‘90s rock, glam flair, gospel spirit, and inspirational lyricism. It’s hard not to feel empowered by the time it ends.

“I’m Still Standing” proves this isn’t about nostalgia, it’s about evolution. “I’m not interested in a victory lap,” Muriel says. “I’m interested in the next mountain.”

Ready to feel inspired?

Crank up “I’m Still Standing and so stay tuned for the full album.

Written while working through a 12-step program, the album reflects the themes of struggle, revelation, and ultimate acceptance. At its core, Hello Mr. Hyde embodies the first three steps of any recovery process, culminating in a surrender to a higher power—a concept rarely explored so openly in modern music.

Inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Stonehocker saw a profound connection between Hyde and the struggle against addiction. The song acknowledges those inner battles, offering a thought-provoking and deeply personal narrative.

“Hello Mr. Hyde” is made even more special with the return of drummer Jeff Towers, a longtime collaborator. The two first worked together on Stonehocker‘s 2008 album, Mail Me a Smile, which carried a distinct punk influence. After reconnecting at one of Jeff‘s drum clinics on “single drum theory,” Stonehocker invited him to lend that unique technique to this track, creating a distinctive rhythmic feel that sets it apart from the rest of the album.

‘Hello Mr. Hyde‘ is an introspective look at the demons that hide within; it is also an acknowledgement of them. The album moves through stages beginning with the greeting and recognition, followed by the depression that comes from the acceptance of “Mr. Hyde,” but finishing with a peaceful release found through surrendering to God. I believe everyone has their own version of “Mr. Hyde” within them and that acknowledging and facing this inner demon is essential to coming to peace with oneself. – Stonehocker

Italian artist Tomm just released his latest concept album “ATLAS”…with such a towering name like that…comes effort…it took a whole year just to write the music for the 9 tracks of the album.

Tomm is a composer, producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist.

It was the idea of exploring the desert rock genre…and it took him to having a concept album with 9 tracks.

With a little spoiler to start with…there’s an interesting piece of info…the first track is titled “Mr. Hyde” and the last song is “Dr. Jekyll”…without even starting the album you get the feeling of a concept album just like that!

“Mr. Hyde” is a fast-paced melting pot of genres…it’s got pop, rock, and indie mixed together with some progressive elements and very interesting sound effects…especially at the end of it…won’t spoil it.

…taking it a notch down on the second song “Love Potion”, Tomm pulls us into this musical trap only to change it up into a fast-paced anthemic pop rock mixed in with some iconic melodic guitar works.

Being one who have majored in Japanese Language studies…the third track kind of caught my eyes because of its Japanese name…”Kintsugi”…and it has such a unique philosophy and meaning to it.

The meaning of the word kintsugi is the process of highlighting the imperfections of a broken item by mending it with gold…such a unique concept.

Tomm’s “Kintsugi” takes a darker musical turn, mixed with more ambient guitar parts…it’s emotionally heavier than what came before it in the album.

Tomm manages to make each song as iconic as possible, with each song having a very distinct character to it through brilliant and catchy melodies.

“ATLAS” continues to mix it up with the emotions, speed, instrumentation and melodies of the songs, it keeps you on your toes and always wondering what the next song hides from you.

…without spoiling any more, Tomm somehow manages to give us 9 completely different songs with catchy verses and explosive choruses…I don’t know how…but the whole album is worth listening to. Every second of it.

We wish all the best to Tomm and we can’t wait to see what he comes up with next with his upcoming releases…but “ATLAS” is an absolute joy to experience, not a wasted second.

Cheers!

The dynamic duo Golem Dance Cult starts the year by releasing their new garage rock single “Dalek Rhetoric” coupled with a visually creative video, giving us a taste of what to expect from their upcoming album “Legend of the Bleeding Heart” that is set to be released next March.

Golem Dance Cult is an industrial dance-rock duo with more than 14k views on Youtube and more than 250k streams on Spotify. The band was founded in 2021 by Laur Veglam on lead vocals and multi-instrumentalist Charles Why on bass, guitar, vocals, and production duties. Their chemistry and companionship can be traced back to when they were teenagers and joined their first band in which Charles was the bassist and Laur was the drummer.

“Dalek Rhetoric” is an up-beat garage rock inspired by the British TV show Dr. Who’s fictional race “The Daleks”. “Dalek are extraterrestrial killing machines with a binary thinking pattern: you are either a Dalek or they will destroy you. This seems fitting with the mentality of the World we live in” explained by the band. Soaring guitars start off the song leading into fuzz bass, hard-hitting groovy drums, and guitar riffs layered with sirens. Sprinkled with equally energetic Laur‘s dark and melodic vocals the song has an energetic and groovy vibe that forces the listener to headbang all the way. “Dalek Rhetoric” is a well-produced and addictive song that really hypes up the release of their next album. Check it out now.

Today I’ll be reviewing Mountain Town’s new album, “Far from Home”. Mountain Town are a Utah-based Americana band, headed by Dr. Jon, who’s the singer and songwriter for the band. Their new album was produced by UK based label “The Animal Farm”.

First song on the album was definitely my favorite! This Highway ends was just 4 minutes 47 minutes of country music goodness. The mix of instruments with Dr Jon’s beautiful vocals made this song my favorite in the entire album. Another absolute favorite of mine was “Ride the Raven”. The harmonica in the song made me feel an indescribable feeling, mix of melancholia and nostalgia. I love the middle of the song when the electric guitar comes on, just a burst of emotions in a mellow song like this. One that was not really to my liking was “Shipyard Town”. Though the song is good, and the harmonica was dreamy, it just lacked energy, it was just the same throughout the entire song.

All in all, though country was never really my cup of tea, I loved this album! It’s definitely not like any other country album I heard before, and it’s definitely more unique than other albums in this genre. You feel like Dr. Jon really put his entire heart into this album. I’m glad Dr. Jon pursued music instead of dentistry to give us this gem of an album.

Dispute Resolution. Please read this Arbitration Agreement carefully. It is part of your contract with Company and affects your rights. It contains procedures for MANDATORY BINDING ARBITRATION AND A CLASS ACTION WAIVER.

Applicability of Arbitration Agreement. All claims and disputes in connection with the Terms or the use of any product or service provided by the Company that cannot be resolved informally or in small claims court shall be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis under the terms of this Arbitration Agreement. Unless otherwise agreed to, all arbitration proceedings shall be held in English. This Arbitration Agreement applies to you and the Company, and to any subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, employees, predecessors in interest, successors, and assigns, as well as all authorized or unauthorized users or beneficiaries of services or goods provided under the Terms.

Notice Requirement and Informal Dispute Resolution. Before either party may seek arbitration, the party must first send to the other party a written Notice of Dispute describing the nature and basis of the claim or dispute, and the requested relief. A Notice to the Company should be sent to: 45 Kambez, Nadi El Seed. Dokki. Cairo, Egypt. (Business Hive Office Space). After the Notice is received, you and the Company may attempt to resolve the claim or dispute informally. If you and the Company do not resolve the claim or dispute within thirty (30) days after the Notice is received, either party may begin an arbitration proceeding. The amount of any settlement offer made by any party may not be disclosed to the arbitrator until after the arbitrator has determined the amount of the award to which either party is entitled.

Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall be initiated through the American Arbitration Association, an established alternative dispute resolution provider that offers arbitration as set forth in this section. If AAA is not available to arbitrate, the parties shall agree to select an alternative ADR Provider. The rules of the ADR Provider shall govern all aspects of the arbitration except to the extent such rules are in conflict with the Terms. The AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules governing the arbitration are available online at adr.org or by calling the AAA at 1-800-778-7879. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single, neutral arbitrator. Any claims or disputes where the total amount of the award sought is less than Ten Thousand U.S. Dollars (US $10,000.00) may be resolved through binding non-appearance-based arbitration, at the option of the party seeking relief. For claims or disputes where the total amount of the award sought is Ten Thousand U.S. Dollars (US $10,000.00) or more, the right to a hearing will be determined by the Arbitration Rules. Any hearing will be held in a location within 100 miles of your residence, unless you reside outside of the United States, and unless the parties agree otherwise. If you reside outside of the U.S., the arbitrator shall give the parties reasonable notice of the date, time and place of any oral hearings. Any judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. If the arbitrator grants you an award that is greater than the last settlement offer that the Company made to you prior to the initiation of arbitration, the Company will pay you the greater of the award or $2,500.00. Each party shall bear its own costs and disbursements arising out of the arbitration and shall pay an equal share of the fees and costs of the ADR Provider.

Additional Rules for Non-Appearance Based Arbitration. If non-appearance based arbitration is elected, the arbitration shall be conducted by telephone, online and/or based solely on written submissions; the specific manner shall be chosen by the party initiating the arbitration. The arbitration shall not involve any personal appearance by the parties or witnesses unless otherwise agreed by the parties.

Time Limits. If you or the Company pursues arbitration, the arbitration action must be initiated and/or demanded within the statute of limitations and within any deadline imposed under the AAA Rules for the pertinent claim.

Authority of Arbitrator. If arbitration is initiated, the arbitrator will decide the rights and liabilities of you and the Company, and the dispute will not be consolidated with any other matters or joined with any other cases or parties. The arbitrator shall have the authority to grant motions dispositive of all or part of any claim. The arbitrator shall have the authority to award monetary damages, and to grant any non-monetary remedy or relief available to an individual under applicable law, the AAA Rules, and the Terms. The arbitrator shall issue a written award and statement of decision describing the essential findings and conclusions on which the award is based. The arbitrator has the same authority to award relief on an individual basis that a judge in a court of law would have. The award of the arbitrator is final and binding upon you and the Company.

Waiver of Jury Trial. THE PARTIES HEREBY WAIVE THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL AND STATUTORY RIGHTS TO GO TO COURT AND HAVE A TRIAL IN FRONT OF A JUDGE OR A JURY, instead electing that all claims and disputes shall be resolved by arbitration under this Arbitration Agreement. Arbitration procedures are typically more limited, more efficient and less expensive than rules applicable in a court and are subject to very limited review by a court. In the event any litigation should arise between you and the Company in any state or federal court in a suit to vacate or enforce an arbitration award or otherwise, YOU AND THE COMPANY WAIVE ALL RIGHTS TO A JURY TRIAL, instead electing that the dispute be resolved by a judge.

Waiver of Class or Consolidated Actions. All claims and disputes within the scope of this arbitration agreement must be arbitrated or litigated on an individual basis and not on a class basis, and claims of more than one customer or user cannot be arbitrated or litigated jointly or consolidated with those of any other customer or user.

Confidentiality. All aspects of the arbitration proceeding shall be strictly confidential. The parties agree to maintain confidentiality unless otherwise required by law. This paragraph shall not prevent a party from submitting to a court of law any information necessary to enforce this Agreement, to enforce an arbitration award, or to seek injunctive or equitable relief.

Severability. If any part or parts of this Arbitration Agreement are found under the law to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, then such specific part or parts shall be of no force and effect and shall be severed and the remainder of the Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.

Right to Waive. Any or all of the rights and limitations set forth in this Arbitration Agreement may be waived by the party against whom the claim is asserted. Such waiver shall not waive or affect any other portion of this Arbitration Agreement.

Survival of Agreement. This Arbitration Agreement will survive the termination of your relationship with Company.

Small Claims Court. Nonetheless the foregoing, either you or the Company may bring an individual action in small claims court.

Emergency Equitable Relief. Anyhow the foregoing, either party may seek emergency equitable relief before a state or federal court in order to maintain the status quo pending arbitration. A request for interim measures shall not be deemed a waiver of any other rights or obligations under this Arbitration Agreement.

Claims Not Subject to Arbitration. Notwithstanding the foregoing, claims of defamation, violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and infringement or misappropriation of the other party’s patent, copyright, trademark or trade secrets shall not be subject to this Arbitration Agreement.

In any circumstances where the foregoing Arbitration Agreement permits the parties to litigate in court, the parties hereby agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located within Netherlands County, California, for such purposes.

The Site may be subject to U.S. export control laws and may be subject to export or import regulations in other countries. You agree not to export, re-export, or transfer, directly or indirectly, any U.S. technical data acquired from Company, or any products utilizing such data, in violation of the United States export laws or regulations.

Electronic Communications. The communications between you and Company use electronic means, whether you use the Site or send us emails, or whether Company posts notices on the Site or communicates with you via email. For contractual purposes, you (a) consent to receive communications from Company in an electronic form; and (b) agree that all terms and conditions, agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that Company provides to you electronically satisfy any legal obligation that such communications would satisfy if it were be in a hard copy writing.

Entire Terms. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the Site. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision. The section titles in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect. The word “including” means “including without limitation”. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the other provisions of these Terms will be unimpaired and the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed modified so that it is valid and enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by law. Your relationship to Company is that of an independent contractor, and neither party is an agent or partner of the other. These Terms, and your rights and obligations herein, may not be assigned, subcontracted, delegated, or otherwise transferred by you without Company’s prior written consent, and any attempted assignment, subcontract, delegation, or transfer in violation of the foregoing will be null and void. Company may freely assign these Terms. The terms and conditions set forth in these Terms shall be binding upon assignees.
