ALGORERHYTHM’s debut track, Social Genocide, is indeed a wake-up call, tackling the darker side of social media with raw honesty and intensity. Hailing from Las Vegas, the trio Tom Nieves on bass, Karl Christenson on guitar, and Brian Hanks on drums brings four years of chemistry into a song that feels both urgent and absolutely relatable.

The track cleverly channels the heavy sounds of classic metal and underground punk, creating a blend that’s both gritty and hard-hitting. Recorded and perfected by Cody Leavitt at Asteroid M Records, the song captures every ounce of the band’s energy, making it impossible to ignore.

The lyrics are absolutely bold and honest, shedding a harsh light on the way social media has shaped our lives. Lines like “Confidence can be faked with a smile on your face, so they don’t know how you feel” cut straight to the heart of our online personas. In the chorus, “Take a look at the mirror to see the product is you,” is a sharp reminder of how deeply we are tied to the very systems we criticize. We have become products, such a shocking reality which we often disregard. 

Musically, Social Genocide mirrors its message. Fast-paced drums, relentless basslines, and sharp guitar riffs work together to create an atmosphere of tension and release, reflecting the chaos and pressure of living in a hyper-connected world such as ours.
