With a big sound and colorful melodies, Blindness and Light opened The Ballad of Them and Us. He cleverly created this sound using every element he’s got, combining groovy solid bass with harmonica, percussive drumming, warm acoustic guitars, and melodic keys all in perfect harmony and a well-written and arranged structure that allowed them all to shine and be clearly heard. Blindness and Light‘s diverse instrumentation gave him the freedom of mixing even more diverse sounds and influences, all with remarkable writing that showed his well-knowledge of his direction and writing skills. The Ballad of Them and Us‘ consistent flow and energy were pretty interesting to me, as the song’s melodies and lines all go along in a smooth fluid pace towards a bigger picture as we move forward, with a seamless soft progression that keeps the listener hooked and listening from the first till the last note. 

Blindness and Light created a beautiful flow with an unbreakable structure on The Ballad of Them and Us. It has an overall laidback warm feel that stays intact and uncompromised throughout its dynamic shifts, all bond together with smart writing and instrument arrangements with a catchy hooking vocal melody.
