Michellar is Michelle Bond, a singer and songwriter based in San Francisco but whose musical adventures easily transcend borders as she regularly collaborates with musicians and producers from all around the world. On her last single titled ‘Conquer All With Love’ Michellar is teaming up with Harrison Black and Christina Rntd, both based in London, and also with producer Toby from Tobias Wilson Music Ltd. Is Staffordshire where the song was produced, mixed, and mastered. This globe trotting single brings us Michellar’s take on soft rock, a sound she’s particularly gifted with due to her soft vocal texture and her thoughtful and warm lyrics.

Wearing her influences on her sleeve, Michellar is channeling the rhythmic nuance of The Police with the polished male/female vocal duet of iconic duo Sonny and Cher on ‘Conquer All With Love’, a single about walking side by side with one’s partner through everything that life has to offer, with love always leading the way. This sweet notion is coupled with a buoyant and present bass, a steady groove, a clean, open-faced guitar riff and a serene backing by gentle and floral pads. All the instrumentals are in service of the sublime vocal duet gracefully spearheading this gorgeous soft rock affair.

A quintessential singer/songwriter offering from Michelle Bond, ‘Conquer All With Love’ showcases all that she does best. A sensitive and pretty composition, a thoughtful and heartfelt lyrical gesture, and an elegant instrumental arrangement that carries it all across.

‘Dreaming’ was written by Michelle Bond, artist, singer, and songwriter based in San Francisco, where the vocals were recorded, and produced by Toby Wilson in the UK. The 60s DNA can be effortlessly spotted in the song’s bustling, overdriven guitar work that’s reminiscent of the genre’s surf music crazy, as well as in the distinctive beat. But ‘Dreaming’ holds a lot more to it than that.

The cinematic guitar part that sounds just glorious, appropriately buried within the mix, getting us to pay close attention, alongside the song’s colorful and charismatic composition which is loaded with chord changes that stick out and provoke vivid emotions, all create a sense of character that make ‘Dreaming’ deliver an unforgettable atmosphere. The production is adept, and the song sounds large and open ended, a pleasure to behold.

A beautifully written and recorded piece of music, Michellar’s ‘Dreaming’ is a dreamy indie pop cut with musical cues that call back years of rich musical heritage, all done lovingly and with an admirable attention to detail, making the song one of the month’s more impactful releases across all genres.

Picture a world where you struggle to breathe, find water, or your body can’t withstand the changing weather. It’s quite distressing, isn’t it? Michellar returns with a soothing single titled “Love Earth,” which serves as a compelling wake-up call for all of us.
