The event showcased various subgenres of metal, including thrash, death, black, and progressive metal, among others. This allowed attendees to witness the breadth and depth of the metal scene, appreciating different styles and witnessing the sheer talent of the participating bands.

The energy and intensity displayed by the bands on stage were truly remarkable. Each band delivered powerful and captivating performances, leaving the audience headbanging and moshing throughout the night. The musicians showed incredible skill and precision, effortlessly executing complex guitar riffs, thunderous drum beats, and impressive vocal ranges. It was evident that they poured their hearts and souls into their music, creating an immersive and authentic experience for everyone present.

Furthermore, The 21th edition of the Tremplin L’Boulevard Festival provided a platform for emerging bands to showcase their talent and gain exposure. It was refreshing to see lesser-known bands getting the opportunity to perform alongside more established acts. This not only adds an element of discovery for the audience but also fosters a sense of community within the rock and metal scene, supporting and encouraging up-and-coming artists.

Back to the competition The TREMPLIN will be held at the famous sports complex R.U.C from September 14th until September 16th, with the participation of 15 bands and artists from various regions of the Kingdom including Casablanca, M’hamid el Ghizlane, Tiznit, Azilal, Agadir, Rabat, Marrakech. There will be a number of different musical styles, Rock & Metal, there were four competed bands:

  • WE COME FOR WAR (CASABLANCA).
  • STAIN (CASABLANCA).
  • MALAK (MARRAKECH).
  • TAGREST (CASABLANCA).

While there were 8 competed Rap/HipHop artists as :

  • BABIDO (CASABLANCA).
  • DAREAL GOKU (CASABLANCA).
  • YAKUZA (CASABLANCA).
  • 7MAD (AGADIR).
  • SCOOLBOY (CASABLANCA).
  • N.I.C. (CASABLANCA).
  • DONTIF(TIZNIT).

Regarding Fusion/World, there were four participants:

  • ANASS OUBLAID &RAW RHYTHM (AZILAL).
  • FERAS &THE RIDDIM UP (RABAT).
  • MHAMID BAND (MHAMID EL GHIZLANE).
  • FNZAHA (CASABLANCA)

 

After the competition between the bands competing for the festival awards, the audience enjoyed the festival with Moroccan Rock and Metal bands like LAZYWALL (ROCK ORIENTAL), OLD SCHOOL (THRASH METAL) and CHIKNO (HEAVY METAL).

The two winners of the Rock / Metal category will participate on Saturday 23 of September in the official concert with the greatest Moroccan and international rock and metal artists and bands:

On the Main Stage:

  • RASHA NAHAS (Rock “Palestine/Germany”).
  • THRILLOGY (Thrash/Death Metal “Morocco”).
  • DECAPITATED (Death Metal “Poland”).

On the Souk stage:

  • SAAD EL BARAKA (Indie/Alternative Rock “Morocco”)

The album mixes heavy metal with hard rock, melodic metal and new wave of British heavy metal elements, bringing us a 12-track album filled with nostalgia and experimentation, including 2 live versions and 2 bonus tracks. Formed in 1984, the 4-piece band has switched up their lineup multiple times over the years and took a break from the 90s until their reunion in 2008, marking it as a “new beginning”. The band currently consists of two of the founding members, Chris Pawlak on bass and vocals, and Chris Angerer on guitar and vocals, joined in 1988 by Joe Eder on guitar and vocals, and Hannes Vordermayer as their lead vocalist and drummer who joined the band in 2014.

“Cut A Long Story Short” features Speed Limit‘s nostalgic and authentic heavy metal sound while showcasing each member’s mastery on their respective instruments. The album is full of killer melodic riffs and solos backed by a groovy and grounding rhythm section. Topped by powerful and flawless vocals with catchy and sing-along choruses, and outstanding backing vocals. The band’s creativity and variety are showcased in rock n roll riffs with a heavy twist in songs like “The Lady Is on Fire,” while songs like “Destiny’s Calling” and “Hit The Wall” have a very melodic lead guitar intro, giving them a melodic edge. “The Wind Blew In A Memory” is a standout track, featuring a stunning piano and clean picking guitar combo in a ballad setting. It develops into an old-school rock riff that acts as a bridge between the ballad setting and the later heavy metal sound, culminating in a thrilling interlude that features chants and a kickass guitar solo.

“Cut A Long Story Short” features top-notch and neat production, mixing, mastering, and recording. Fans can pre-save the album now and get ready for a nostalgic experience as Speed Limit takes them on a journey through each track.
