A relatively fresh name on the English alternative rock scene, Ramellos is a three-piece outfit based in Newcastle, and the sound of their lively, minuscule orchestra is an immediate delight. ‘Heedless Hearts’ is Ramellos’ debut single. Recorded in Blank Studios, a notable recording establishment in their native Newcastle, Ramellos state that they have never felt more satisfied with a piece of work before. Listening to ‘Heedless Hearts’ explains a lot about this satisfaction.

From the hand-drawn cover art to the single, to the exquisite tightness of each of the song’s instrumental lines, ‘Heedless Hearts’ leaves no room for second-guessing the deep artistic identity of the three-piece and their debut single. A pop rock cut with a soft, melodic core, Ramellos’ debut is colorful with its sparkling clean guitar arpeggio riff, and with its bittersweet chorus, intensely overdriven, and laced with melancholy. A beautifully crafted song, featuring heartful group yells, and intricately structured riffs. and a nuanced turnaround with a bone-chilling vocal passage. ‘Heedless Hearts’ is a relatively complex offering that never loses touch with its pop roots.

Ramellos are showcasing themselves as an extremely capable trio of musicians. The outfit’s debut single is lush with an easygoing charisma and a brilliant array of sweet melodies and fittingly edgy instrumentals.
