Thought-provoking words and melodies coalesce in Subatomic Strangers’ latest single ‘The Edge’. A cinematic and distinctive cut with deep and philosophical meanings behind its unique arrangement.

A band based in Roeselare, Belgium, Subatomic Strangers are already touring Europe and willing to go beyond that, and with singles like ‘The Edge’ to support their ambitions, we can see a lot of potential coming for the Belgian 4 piece. Composed of Sharon Braye, Nicholas Vermeersch, Jonas Vanelstlande, and Mathijs Vrielnyck, Subatomic Strangers’s sound is made of the age-old rock arrangement of vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, and with these 4 elements, ‘The Edge’ brings forward something quite distinct.

A space rock anthem of sorts, ‘The Edge’ is a ballad that unfolds, telling a story of fate and how everything that happens in life, happens for a reason. To tell the story, the riffs of ‘The Edge’ are crunchy and memorable, the syncopated bass and drum lines are locked tight in a memorable groove, and the frontwoman’s delivery is powerful and confident. The multifaceted composition also goes through an unforgettable middle section that breaks the pace with a melody that is indeed quite fresh.

‘The Edge’ is a cinematic, rocking storyteller of a song that is thought-provoking and exciting.
