Ann Arbor’s genre-defying five-piece Black Note Graffiti are stepping into a big second half of 2025. Known for blending the melodic atmosphere of Deftones with the raw urgency of modern hardcore like Turnstile, the band has just announced their return to the festival circuit with an appearance at Wisconsin’s Mile of Music on August 1st and 2nd, with more tour dates on the way.

Fresh off the release of their fourth studio album Resist The Divide, the band is celebrating with a limited edition vinyl pressing, available now via their official website. The record, produced by heavy music maestro Josh Schroeder (Lorna Shore, King 810, Butcher Babies), is a tour de force of progressive metal, layered alt-rock textures, and emotionally charged storytelling. Standout singles like “The Source” and “Place You Lie” (the latter accompanied by a visceral video directed by William Wombat Felch) capture the group’s sonic intensity and lyrical depth.

Black Note Graffiti have carved out their place in the rock underground, earning spots on major festival stages like SXSW, NXNE, Upheaval, and sharing bills with heavyweights like Lamb of God, Bring Me the Horizon, Memphis May Fire, and Dorothy. At the core of Resist The Divide lies a thematic focus on transformation, addressing trauma, addiction, and the darker corners of the human experience. Through bone-rattling drums, soaring riffs, and emotionally raw vocals, BNG creates an immersive soundscape aimed at healing and awakening.

With more shows on the horizon and a growing following across the U.S., Black Note Graffiti are proving that their message, and their music, continues to resonate in a world still in search of meaning and catharsis.
