Leather Laces are not here to simply release songs, they are here to execute campaigns! Their third single, Marching in the Fog, isn’t an explosion like Rocket Launcher or a relentless drill like Heavy Machine Gun. Instead, it’s something slower, more haunting, and infinitely more unsettling: a spectral march through distortion and mist, where every step feels inevitable yet unseen until impact.

blankThe track begins with the crackle of a walkie-talkie, as if intercepted orders are being transmitted from the shadows. From there, a wall of distorted guitars, subterranean synths, and drum pulses that echo like distant radar signals creates a suffocating tension. The music cleverly creeps forward with discipline, carrying the weight of anticipation. Its slow rhythm feels ritualistic, preparing the listener for a sudden strike before dissolving into a digital haze where perception breaks apart. Just as you’re swallowed whole, the fog tears open: the ending hits sudden, urgent, and impossible to escape.

The four-piece unit remains as precise as ever. _SHOE drives the rhythmic core with unyielding force, DripString layers corrosive textures, Chokeloop locks the pulses in ritual cycles, and Slughair poisons the low-end with contaminated resonance. Together, they sound like a mechanism, a tactical machine designed for infiltration.

Marching in the Fog is more than just industrial metal fused with synthwave aesthetics; it’s a cinematic infiltration soundtrack, immersive and terrifying in its patience. Every echo carries a threat. Every silence hides intent. By the time the final strike lands, you realize you were being surrounded all along.

This is the third stage of the Leather Laces’ sonic campaign, leading to Mind-Control Techniques (out September 25) before the debut album’s launch in 2026. If the fog is this thick now, imagine what’s coming next; the storm ahead will sure be unstoppable!
