Stockholm, SwedenARN-Identified Flying Objects and Alien Friends, the solo project of Swedish musician Alien Friend, has released the evocative single “Vagnar av guld” (Chariots of Gold), available now on all major streaming platforms. This original Swedish version serves as a tender tribute to the artist’s children and grandchildren, while also weaving in snapshots from his own childhood, exploring themes of growing up and familial legacy.

Alien Friend, who previously played guitar and sang in the Swedish band REDMOON, crafted two versions of the song—one in English and the original in Swedish. “On one level the song is an homage to my children (and grandchildren); but it’s also a story about growing up – with snapshots from my own childhood,” explains Alien Friend. The English rendition will feature on a forthcoming full-length album slated for release in May 2026.

The track features beautiful drumming by Andreas Quincy Dahlbäck, and background vocals in the style of the Beach Boys by the renowned David Myhr, who also contributes on Hammond organ. These elements add a nostalgic, harmonious layer to the song’s introspective narrative, blending personal reflection with melodic warmth.

“Vagnar av guld” stands as a poignant addition to Alien Friend’s evolving catalog, inviting listeners to reflect on the passage of time and the enduring bonds of family.
