From Atlanta, USA, Nero and the Sunsetter are raising the bar for everyone around, they’re doing the original song, in fact, Nero Simon and the Sunsetters released their debut full-length album Treasure Chest on March 18th of 2022, but for today, we’ll be going over their amazing life performance of the classic “Baker Street” by the iconic Gerry Raferrty.
Nero Simon and the Sunsetters chose this song to cover during their Atlanta performance in March 2023… an excellent choice by the way.
For an established band to perform a cover song…that’s not an easy task, it takes confidence and courage…
…confidence, because they are sure of their skillset…
…courage, to say ‘Hey, we’re an original band, but we love other artists and this is one of them’
Through covering “Baker Street” they’re acknowledging and paying homage to the great Gerry Raferrty, while showing off their absolute prowess to match the level of awesome music and raw talent of the original musicians… and they’re absolutely stunning and a treat to experience.
Nero Simon is a monster on the guitar and a highly accomplished singer, he’s the leader here, and with amazing band members they are sublime, the harmony and energy between the members are palpable, the live performance is energetic and with their charisma on full display here…they are killing it.
