Sometimes all you need is a minute and a half of pounding punk with edgy vocals and an attitude to have your whole day made. Enter The Tracys.
A Brooklyn-based punk phenomenon, The Tracys are back with a stingy, new, rocking single, their second in 2023. Bully Bully Blockhead is full of vibes and of energy. Bully Bully Blockhead is simple enough to appeal to the masses, and punk enough to be a delicacy for even the most hardcore punk fans. Dave Klym’s vocals are fantastic and compelling, and his peculiar faux-British accent makes this whole affair a lot more interesting. The singing is incredibly hypnotic by its flow and its arrangement. The thunderous drums of Matt Ernst are pounding and driving, playing a nuanced beat and a breakneck pace, and on top of it, bass and drums hammer away one riff after another, for a final result that’s endlessly rich, groovy, and quite frankly delicious.
Bully Bully Blockhead is a terrific single with its fair share of humor and edginess. The beating drums, tight performances, and unforgettable singing all make this tiny little single punch way above its weight, and it pulls it off beautifully.
