The Dust Collectors just released a new EP with 6 songs…and they’re changing the whole country genre game.

Their EP is titled “Hanlon’s Razor” and it has so many amazing things that really change the whole genre up, sonically and rhythmically.

They blend country, folk with polyrhythmic rock guitar riffs…there are some riffs where I thought to myself “that’s country TOOL!”

“Hanlon’s Razor” starts out very strong with “The Waiting Game”…The song has a very unique country, rock fusion…with fresh and unique subtle moments and huge choruses, blending together perfectly to give an amazing experience to the audiences…this must feel amazing live..

Going into the second song, we’re getting into the heavy country rock territory here…

“Bullshit & Lies” is a move into the hard and gritty territory, once again, The Dust Collectors have their unique twist on song structures by having contrasting verses and choruses, energy-wise…the spicy subtle verses are really something to behold.

Moving forward in the EP, we get to “Flush & Plumb”…a toe-tapping feel good dancing song with some rock elements thrown into the mix to add a little bit of spice.

“Black Fly” is the next song and it continues in the vein of the dancing kind of song…it’s even more country this time around…the vocal melodies feel anthemic…and needs to be played live so the audience can jump in and sing along.

“Keeping Time” is a bit darker in tone than songs before, but still energetic and upbeat.

Extremely melodic with great musicality to it, and a quick organ solo that is on fire…and the grooviest of bass lines.

The next song is the last in the EP…and it’s a song with a twist, it’s both downbeat and upbeat…it serves as a ‘till next time’ from The Dust Collectors…they put their essence in this song…I don’t want to spoil any surprises more, but it’s like having 2 songs in 1…

“Hanlon’s Razor” is a must check EP, all elements that make up the album are top notch on all levels.

To The Dust Collectors, we wish you all the best in life, you deserve it.

Can’t wait to listen to your next releases.

Cheers!
