We have seen several music videos from musicians around the world chilling through the 2020 lockdown and enjoying as well as collaborating virtually. in my opinion, the ‘Fuck You COVID-19’ music video by Cool Ass was the best among them all that reflects perfectly on such a tough period.
Here in Egypt, we gathered up with a social group called “Musicians in Quarantine” aiming to share, jam and community together and it wasn’t only for our local community but with everyone on the planet. Cool Ass was created by Marc Marut and it was really pissing him off when people react to his music and dance because they feel the lyrics are pretty funny “I wanted a hard-hitting rock sound that would be as in your face as the lyrics. The reward is watching people’s reactions, how they go from being completely shocked and offended to laughing hysterically. The lyrics are pretty funny.” – Marc says.
