Do you feel like you’re leaving the past behind? Do you feel heavy with what you’re carrying from your previous experiences? Greek singer/songwriter Eric Alexandrakis feels the same, and he created a rock anthem “Home” expressing just how this feels.

“It’s about leaving the bad stuff behind… sadness… abuse… unhappiness… loneliness… loss… and taking that next big and difficult step towards happiness, and to where you truly belong,” shared Alexandrakis. “Inspired by Melanie Safka, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen, John Taylor, and Noel Gallagher.”

The song opens up with the soft vocals of Alexandrakis and the strums of the electric guitar, before picking up the pace near the middle with the introduction of the accordion. The sound is similar to something that Pink Floyd would create; reminiscing about the old and replacing it with the new.

The artist collaborated with Mark Scandariato on the track “Home”, which brings a warm and fuzzy feel to your soul while you listen to it. The drums were handled by Ryan Hoyle, who has previously performed with Anna Vissi, while the bass was played by Akis Amprazis.

What you might not know about Alexandrakis is that he was nominated twice for a Grammy! With his latest release lingering in the back of your mind, there is no doubt that Alexandrakis is leaving a musical footprint like no other.
