‘Horizons Dim’ is considered as Chasing Airplanes described that it’s their first collaborative track with the full lineup. The project started solo in 2019 by Vocalist Kyle Jeffcoat and now evolved to a solid metal lineup that includes Jared Bokish and Jake Hodges on guitar, and Tyler Murin on drums.
Luckily I had the chance to many metal acts during the 2020 quarantine, but few who impressed me really, which is our case here “The track hits hard with memorable riffs and heavy breakdowns and lyrically deals with the mental struggle of living through quarantine in 2020” – the band explained. Well, were been facing some tough times during the lockdown, but what I really loved about this that some artists used it perfectly and delivered epic songs. ‘Horizons Dim’ or Chasing Airplanes, in general, is your heavy progressive/djent daily dose, easily will start bang from the first riff, and the harmony between these dudes is stunning, and definitely, the vocals fit perfectly.
