Jazz Calls Home is the experimental pop project of Spanish-Colombian artist Jazz Alvarado Segovia, influenced by Björk and SOPHIE. She was born in Bogotá into a musically-inclined family, she began music at age 3 and became a professional songwriter in her teens. After studying film scoring and music production, she emigrated to Montreal due to political unrest, which inspired her solo career.
