It’s Christmas Party Time is a very special holiday season song by Mick J Clark and it is a beautiful Christmas anthem with 80s vibes and some joyous church bells that are bound to get you floating above in a sled with Santa once you hear it.

The song begins with the drum beat right away, and I love the way the drums are tuned and the sweet high hat sound accompanying them. In a way that I cannot fully grasp, the church bell Mick uses here sounds like it belongs to a famous Christmas carol, but it also feels new and fresh. It’s a kind of nostalgia you can’t really place or relate to a song that’s been made before.

The folk-ish nature of the arrangement and the arrangement is decorated with Mick’s beautiful airy vocals. It’s great to see him retain the tone and power of his voice as he slides up and down the scale, maintaining his tone and timbre effortlessly as if it’s some easy job (believe you me, it’s not).

What made me describe the song as anthemic, are the beautiful lyrics that paint a mental picture of Christmas time, as well as the ambient sounds of people singing along, laughing and just enjoying their time. Mick J Clark delivers more than he promises with that catchy song title, and I think everyone should check out the rest of his Christmas album and his versatile discography on Spotify and all major streaming platforms. Cheers, and merry early Christmas.
