If you’re into soulful blues rock, then Tom Harrison’s latest single “Peace With Me” will be right up your (Tin Pan) alley. A song that blends the timeless beauty of the blues with modern-day songwriting sensibilities, with tons of grit and attitude.

According to the press kit, the song was recorded in Tom Harrison’s home studio with a drum performance by Paul Bain from the Australian country star Travis Collins’ band and mixed by Nell Forster and mastered by Mikey Young. Together, they managed to deliver an incredible raw sound that feels live even in a home studio environment, a testament to their incredible talent.

The song has a lot of energy and momentum, which is driven by the twangy, groovy guitar riff and a drum mix with lots of sizzle from the cymbals and a hard-hitting snare that cuts through without getting in the way of the vocals. Speaking of which, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to hear such soul and swing in the vocal performance. It delivers all the ache needed to serve the song’s narrative and then some.

Now, while the song doesn’t feature a solo, the addictive riff shared between the guitar and bass will do more than fill your guitar needs. And the buildup towards the final chorus featuring plenty of overdubs on guitar does a great job of creating a climactic, cathartic finish to the track.

“Peace With Me” by Tom Harrison is a straightforward song that will scratch your blues itch and will not leave you disappointed. “When can I listen to this song?” I hear you asking. Well, you’re in luck because it just came out today on all platforms, so check it out!
