Lush and vividly colored psychedelic blues are all that live on The All’s Eye’s latest single ‘Say What You Wanna Say’. One more release from the extremely gifted group composed of Ben Atkind, Ari Joshua, and Kris Yunker, the single features the group’s always delightful blend of psychedelia, funk, and soul. Fluent, fluid, and freshly served.

A group of musicians calling Northeastern USA home, The All’s Eye are an illustrious bunch of musicians with a wide range of talent. ‘Say What You Wanna Say’ comes to us via Ben Atkind from Elephant Proof, a recipient of an article in The New York Times who is currently playing in Madison Square Garden and will be opening for Dave Mathews this summer.

‘Say What You Wanna Say’ comes in the group’s usual fashion. Lighthearted and easygoing while being extremely musical and nuanced. A true testament to music that is lovingly crafted and passionately delivered. The puffy nature of the sound which mostly revolves around electronic keyboards and funk guitar riffs gives the song a psychedelic flair, and the boomy, buoyant nature of the bass tones gives the song a hollowed-out sound that is very distinctive. The composition mainly follows a variation on the trusty 12-bar blues cliché, and with a set of solos and deliveries this exquisitely tight, not much more than the 12-bar is needed.

Another release that is dripping with color and character from The All’s Eye’s Atkind, Joshua, and Yunker, ‘Say What You Wanna Say’ is pure joy to the senses.
