Belfast soul outfit The Gold Tips return with “Hold On,” a standout new single and official music video that explores the space where conviction, love, and morality collide. The track and video are out now.
Following the release of their acclaimed second album Hope and Recreation earlier this year, “Hold On” continues the band’s momentum with a song that balances emotional depth and irresistible groove. The accompanying video celebrates one of soul music’s defining qualities: its power to move people both emotionally and physically. Centred on dance and uninhibited movement, it captures the joy, energy, and connection that sit at the heart of The Gold Tips’ sound.
The Gold Tips blend classic influences from Stax, Motown, and Northern Soul with modern songwriting, rich harmonies, and a powerful live presence. Since the release of Hope and Recreation, the band has earned support from broadcasters including Craig Charles and BBC Introducing, alongside coverage from independent music press, radio stations, and playlist curators.

This September, the band takes their celebrated live show back on the road with a run of UK dates:
- Glasgow – Nice N Sleazy – Wednesday 9 September
- Manchester – Matt and Phreds – Thursday 10 September
- London – The Sound Lounge – Saturday 12 September
- Leeds – Hyde Park Book Club – Monday 14 September
- Newcastle – Little Buildings – Tuesday 15 September
- Belfast – The Belfast Barge – Saturday 19 September
Tickets are on sale now.
The Gold Tips are available for radio airplay, interviews, live sessions, features, tour previews, reviews, and playlist support in the lead-up to and during the tour.
