Los Angeles-based rockers The Oil Barons return with their most ambitious and unrelenting release to date: GRANDIOSE—a full-length sonic onslaught arriving this fall. The rollout begins with “Gloria”, the first of two singles accompanied by music videos. Packed with big guitars, melodic hooks, and powerful vim and vigor, “Gloria” out now.  You can download for free at Bandcamp or stream it HERE.

The band—Lou Aquiler (guitar), Andrew Huber (bass, lead vocals), Jake Hart (drums), and Matt Harting (organ, acoustic guitar)—has built a reputation for unpredictability and intensity. Blending the rawness of heavy rock with psychedelic textures and doom metal heft, their sound is as theatrical as it is thunderous.

GLORIA is richly layered Americana-infused rock ‘n’ roll with a soulful, vintage feel. When asked about the song, band members share, it’s “a Heavy Americana ode to a man’s best and only gal,” says Aquiler. Huber adds it’s about a “bad man’s devotion to a good woman,” and Hart recommends, you “stumble home to this one.”

The band’s debut The West is Won (2019) was a fan-funded release produced by Zach Fisher (Weezer, Bad Religion) and included the standout track “VITCH,” which made its way onto SyFy’s Resident Alien. They followed with 2020’s Grease Pop EP, expanding their sound and sharpening their vision.

With GRANDIOSE, The Oil Barons continue their journey as an American band that channels the grit and groove of rock ‘n’ roll with a fresh edge.
