Chandra returns with their infectious rock anthem, “We Want Our Planet.” The title emphasizes the importance of caring for our Earth. Let’s explore this further below.
Typically, I appreciate their emotive and powerful vocals. However, in this instance, I was also captivated by the impressive guitar work. I adored how the rhythm blended seamlessly with the vocals, creating a wonderful rhythmic harmony. Additionally, I loved the mid-track transition, which introduced a faster pace accompanied by a delightful, subtle symphonic backdrop. Undoubtedly, I can’t overlook the marvelous and melodic soloing, which truly stood out.
The band has announced that the music video will be released a week prior to its official launch on April 11th, and I can hardly contain my excitement. They shared, “The music video will have a distinct approach: Heroes vs. Villains, presented in an episodic format that lets viewers select what they want to watch next.” This concept is both clever and original!
“Especially now in 2025 it feels like every time we take a small step in the right direction we are dragged back again by money, power and greed. This song is a call to arms, a protest song… a unifying surge of energy that reminds us we can take our planet back if we work together and shout loud enough.” – Chandra’s lead singer stated. In my opinion, they are the most intelligent rock acts I’ve discovered since last year, and I truly admire how they address significant social issues that we currently face. In summary, Chandra is not just another new rock band; they are on their way to becoming a rock icon. Cheers!
