UK-based Mark Vennis & Different Place just released their new alt-rock single “Wild Suburban Boy”….an energetic track with some punk-ish attitude…an excellent fusion.
Mark Vennis & Different Place is a rock band from Petersfield in Hampshire, UK.
They already released three highly praised albums, their 2018 album “A Beautiful Lie or The Ugly Truth”…their 2020 album “Fighting on All Fronts”…and their album “Uncharted Water, Faded Glory and Other Stories”…
Their latest song “Wild Suburban Boy” is from their upcoming 7-track album “Small Town Vampire” set to be released at the beginning of next year, during January of 2024.
Let’s get to meet the awesome people behind this musical project…
Mark Vennis on guitar and vocals
Sean Quinn on guitar, percussion and backing vocals
Dave Sweetenham on bass
Brian Gee on drums
Duncan Lefeuvre on drums and keyboard
“Wild Suburban Boy” was produced by Duncan Lefeuvre of Gravel Track Music.
Mark Vennis recently did the soundtrack for the documentary “On Resistance Street”, a film about rebel rock and the fight against racism
Their latest single “Wild Suburban Boy” is a very rock-fueled musical experience…the energy is high, with some peaks of punk rock…
The band plays completely in an unhinged way…their energy is pure and real…it sounds like they are playing something they have amounts of passion towards…
“Wild Suburban Boy” has some parts that don’t follow that level of energy, but these parts give us the feeling of contrast between the lows and the highs of the energy dynamic…and it both feels and sounds special.
We wish all the best to Mark Vennis & Different Place…we can’t wait to experience their 7-track album “Small Town Vampire” that will be released in January 2024.
Cheers!
