Baltimore-based artist Will Sims released his album “You Have a Voice, Use It”…a portrayal of his emotions, put into music form and going with the amazing vibes of alt-rock…Will gets his emotions across pretty clearly and in a mojo-filled heavy riffing kind of way…it’s musically unrelentless.

The album contains 8 tracks….all of which captures the artist’s emotions about his anger towards the state of the world we live in, his regrets, his acceptance…it’s all about being raw and true.

The keyword here is ‘heavy riffing’…get ready to get sucked into a world where each song has absolutely epic riffage…

“You Have a Voice, Use It” is diverse in its melodies and energies…yet it maintains the same raw power across all songs, which is pretty awesome…

It starts with “Lose Control”…a very fitting intro to the album, with its high energy levels apparent in the drums building up and leading to a very epic syncopated guitar riff with rhythmic vocal performance…that song alone would have been enough…but that’s just the start…the song evolves and starts pumping out some epic backing vocal sections that just feels so huge…

…kicking the energy up a notch with the second song “Move It or Lose It”…an upbeat and uptempo rock tsunami of a song…this one will keep you jumping and just letting loose…

The album keeps changing things up but keeps maintaining its energy and soul intact and iconic across all songs…each song will surprise you with a new catchy melody, an amazing riff, a groovy pumping bass line and a charismatic drum beat…

Even when the album takes a turn into the more indie/folk rock area…it keeps its promise of amazing musicality, that is exactly the case with “I Should Never Have Given up on You”…it’s all about the emotions…and there’s an abundance of that here too.

…same goes for “Fears”…a folk ballad that easily enters the soul of the listener…instantly relaxing the situation.

Will keeps changing things up with directing the audience’s emotions with one heavy alt-rock song to another folk track…and back and forth…always providing contrast and flavorsome musicality in all his tracks in the album.

Wishing all the best to Will…we can’t wait to see what he cooks up next for the world, we bet it’s going to be stunning.

Cheers!
