“All The Right Things” is the latest single from up-and-coming Indie Rock duo “I Am The Unicorn Head,” and it sounds like a sweet and dreamy Alternative hit from the late 90s.
While a lot of today’s artists make Lo-fi tracks that drown the instruments behind a sample or a repeating electronic hook, these guys are not in any way afraid of using their guitars and instruments in a way that feels like an orchestra.
The chorus has a crescendo with a brass section that will instantly remind you of the famous hit “Bitter Sweet Symphony” by The Verve, and the band’s sound, in general, feels like they could compete with the likes of “Tame Impala” or “King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard.”
In conclusion, the way the verses of this track stay lowkey and the chorus kicks in with its sweet brass section will keep it in your head for days after the first listen. We can’t turn our eyes and ears away from the short but impactful guitar solo either. Tons of potential and creativity can be found here, and I’m expecting more in the upcoming album from these awesomely talented guys.
