“Do you still love me?” ends the alternative rock song “Behind Those Eyes” by Yorkshire-based rockstar trio Echoviolet, leaving us in despair and suspense over what we had just uncovered.

The heartfelt song discusses the bold topic of addiction, and for the rare times, we find ourselves listening to a song that is divided into two parts – equally intriguing, yet the ending offers a glimpse of hope to those who have no way out of addiction’s claws.

The song opens up with the catchy electric guitar riffs, strong drums, and alluring vocals, and it tells the story of a loved one struggling with addiction. Then, it spirals into its anticipated second half, which features a tale about hopes of recovering and the cherished memories before the tornado of addiction took over.

“We write our music by jamming out a tune together from nothing and seeing where it goes,” shared the band. “Our goal is to try to create something a bit different to what is already out there. We record, produce, and mix all our music ourselves and never play to a click, as we want to try [and] capture some of that ‘in the moment’ live magic.”

The recording, mixing, and mastering of “Behind Those Eyes” was done by the band themselves in their studio in Yorkshire, the UK. As the band has garnered attention for their unique tunes and electrifying live performances, their previous releases have been compared to the likes of Muse, Idles, and Queens of the Stone Age.

Some of our favorite tracks by them also include “Micro Maniac”, “I Don’t Know”, and “Fear”. So, what are you waiting for? Stream their music and make sure to headbang along to the tune!
