Most people would describe the Dark Wave track “Telekinetic” by Indiana-based artist Twice Dark as a little eerie, and we can’t seem but agree with them!

The track carries a major throwback vibe to the 80s synths wave that transformed the dance scene during that era. Telekinetic is about taking control of one’s fears and manifesting one’s dreams through force of will,” shared the artist. “Twice Dark is inspired by classic Goth Rock, Post-Punk, Darkwave, Synthpop, and Industrial Music of the 1980s and beyond.”

“Telekinetic” is the lead single from Twice Dark’s upcoming album of the same name. The album vows to take listeners on a sonic journey through time and space with a haunting sound that follows you all the way to your deepest darkest dreams.

Weaving together goth-rock, disco, deathrock, electronic body music, and dark wave, “Telekinetic” opens up with the dark synths and Twice Dark’s signature speech-like vocals that fans have been accustomed to, before he yells out “TELEKINETIC” in a way that seems to get stuck in our heads. The drum kick carries an 80s sound to the core, and the song as a whole follows the deep undertone of letting go of the past and embracing the darkness of the night.

The outro is manipulated in a way that has you coming back for more, pressing replay, and enjoying the sonic adventure again and again. “Other influences include Art Nouveau, Magic Realism, Splatter Punk Literature, and 80s Horror Movies and Novels. The Album Telekinetic will be released in early 2025,” concluded the artist.
