A snappy and sharp, swampy southern anthem, Peningo Riders are back with a high-octane, hard-hitting piece of that southern rock and country they know how to do so well.
An independent southern rock and country duo hailing from New York, Peningo Riders are Eddie Pellon and Russ Davis, and while bands might start in garages or in concerts, this particular duo started in a guitar lesson when Eddie signed up for a lesson with seasoned musical veteran Russ Davis, a pair who quickly found their songwriting chemistry. ‘Duck That Jeep’ is the title of the duo’s latest single.
‘Duck That Jeep’ is a heated and energetic piece of country rock that sounds decidedly classical. With its timeless grooves and sleazy blues shuffle a-la Stevie Ray Vaughn, ‘Duck That Jeep’ is a track that features character in droves. The guitars from Russ Davis are so creamy with their tube screamer overdrive, the bass slinky and buoyant, the drums battering and lively, and those anthemic chants visceral, noisy, and alive, all in all making for one living, breathing piece of southern, blues rock in major.
Peningo Riders know how to make a crowd roar, and their latest offering is solid proof of their fantastic musical chemistry.
