“I’m Done (I’ve had enough)” is a new song by Electric Lady. A Czech band that has been around since 2013 and still going strong. Tereza Rays, the powerhouse of the band, has been playing music since she was a fifteen-year-old child. When she performs, you can sense her passion, boldness, and raw talent. It’s as if she was born to play such hardcore rock n roll music.
Cayman on Bass and Robin Evans on Drums match Tereza’s energy and power. They all seem to share the same undeniable love for creating music. Both Cayman and Evans have been playing music for a long time. They joined Tereza in creating unforgettable performances across the world.
“I’m Done (I’ve had enough)” ignites a fire within oneself. As expected from Tereza Rays, the song is rebellious, unapologetic, and explosive. The song is a statement, Electric Lady is done with all the people dissuading them from playing Rock n Roll or from all the insincere social norms. One of my favourite lines from the song is “Everybody’s telling me Rock ’N’ Roll is dead. Well I am still standing so I’ll pick my guitar instead”, this line sums up the song’s energy perfectly. For anyone wondering if rock n roll is dead, think again because rock n roll is pretty much alive as long as bands like Electric Lady are around and kicking.
The song starts with infectious energetic guitar chords. The song doesn’t slow down but builds up the energy more. It gave me similar explosive energy I feel every time I listen to “Highway to Hell” by AC/DC. It has the potential to turn into a new revolutionary classic. In the meantime, this song would be added to the playlist I listen to when I need energy or when I need a kick during my morning run.
The music video for the song didn’t disappoint with a similar infectious energy, showcasing the unrelenting, unapologetic Tereza. She is everything I could’ve imagined a rock and roll artist to be like. Her style, her moves, her energy, and her talent, she is a tornado that can’t be stopped and this video is just a sneak peek at her performance. The only bad thing about Electric Lady so far is the fact they are not coming to my city during their upcoming tour.
They are coming to the UK this September. However, this is not their first time, they have been touring all around the globe for years, playing in festivals like Thanks Jimi Festival—a tribute to Jimi Hendrix, opening the O2 Arena for the Czech-Slovak rapper Rytmus and now they would be supporting the Wohnout band in November.
Check out their tour dates.
