Radio Vision is the one-man project and creative output of singer-songwriter Benjamin Stephenson that he created during the hiatus of his group The Shook. The seemingly endless creativity of Mr Stephenson has shown itself multiple times in the form of the psychedelic and creative works of Radio Vision that he keeps releasing, and it doesn’t seem like he’s stopping any time soon.

The latest Radio Vision single is entitled “Faux Business” and is just shy of 2 minutes long. The song begins with a bassline and some horns with a very jazzy effect playing over a subtle chord progression. The arrangement feels very much inspired by The Doors due to how dark and peculiar the sound is, but the vocals and the bass line give the song a very characteristic sound and style that I believe every Radio Vision knows and is familiar with by now.

Speaking of the vocals, they have a megaphone/compression effect which I highly enjoyed and it made me feel like the Stoner Rock/Art Rock attitude is highly present throughout the song and that the entire experience is very intricate and unique.

All in all, this song draws influence from more than one artist and genre, but it’s creative enough to have a fingerprint of its own. I don’t think most listeners will have a song or an artist in mind that this feels similar r identical to, because it really is a special track with elements like no other.
