Payton Saint’s ‘Got Milk?’ is an intoxicating piece of hypnotizing sludge and noise rock. Loaded with an unmistakable character, ‘Got Milk?’ is a challenging listen that has an incredible number of moving parts to discuss. A delightfully overwhelming piece.

Based in Belper, England, Paytron Saint had decided to release a song per month at the start of the year and it only took them 8 months to admit their regrets. Nonetheless, ‘Got Milk?’ shows that Paytron Saint are far from running out of ideas.

Based on a mystifying guitar riff and a dense, busy, and intense mix, ‘Got Milk?’ is a differently-colored piece of rock music. Talking about people who offer ridiculously simple solutions to complex problems, ‘Got Milk?’ is a humorous commentary on people who do more harm than good by refusing to face problems head on, opting for easy fixes. The guitars on this song are wonderfully good. A Jonny Greenwood-inspired whacky guitar solo graces the song that’s heavily leaning on the heavier side of Grunge in its aggressiveness and brutal sense of melodic honesty. ‘Got Milk?’ sounds brash and shameless. An aggressively melodic piece that’s intimidating and engaging. A sound that sounds dangerous, but you just can’t look away.

With a pulling vocal charisma from the frontman of the trio, a barrage of bass and drums that’s earth-shattering, and a guitar arrangement that’s easily psychotic with the amount of inspirations it pulls from, ‘Got Milk?’ is a simply brilliant offering of brash alternative rock.
