Are you seeking the 80’s sound these days? Then you might have found it within the American 5-piece heavy metal band Immortal Synn’s Machine Men.
The heavy metal band is from Denver, Colorado and their music sounds like Judas Priest, Megadeth, Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Exodus and many other legendary acts. Machine Men is their debut album which was digitally released on August 4th on BandCamp, and for their physical – CD/cassette tapes – release will be on September 24th.

Immortal Synn includes 11 tracks. The album is characterized by harsh speed vocals over very heavy guitar riffs and powerful drumming techniques. It’s obvious that ‘Liberty Rising’, ‘Metal and Blood’, and ‘Dark Abyss’ have the same music spirit but what I really liked is the vocal style and solos. Especially the soloing in ‘Dark Abyss’ as I felt it includes Phrygian oriental spirit. ‘Strength!’ is just WOW! I was headbanging involuntarily! As I guy who was raised on Thrash metal bands, I consider this song as one of my favorites in this album. Oh, God! I love bass-solos so much. It’s a unique way to provide a bass solo in mid-song and later a catchy melodic guitar solo. The band was very expressive in this song, and it’s well delivered indeed.

Actually, Hatred Nation music riffs reminded me of the legendary act King Diamond, especially within Mercyful Fate era. However, the vocal style in this song wasn’t my type that much, but still the music is a killer!

‘The Dark Of Dawn’ and ‘Blind Soul’ are simply songs that remind me of the beloved old school metal, I totally enjoyed the riffs and guitar soloing.

As for ‘Novus Ordo Seclorum’, ‘Above the Law” and ‘10 Fringes Of Society’ follows a thrash metal style, harsh vocals, fast melodic riffs and very nice indeed.

And finally the album song-title, Machine Men. I believe the band had put too much effort in this song. I like all the song elements indeed. The song includes many melodic variations, also the transitions are very catchy and convenient to the ears while listening. As I am mainly someone who looks for solos in songs, I admit that solos here delivered the theme perfectly!

At last, I’d rate it 8.5 out of 10. And I highly recommend Immortal Synn album for all heavy metal fans!
