Father and son musical duo “Mercurius” has quite the musical catalog…the UK based duo has released 2 albums, a 5 track EP, and 10 singles within the span of 2 years and now they’re marking their musical territory in 2024 with their first single in the year “Make a Difference”, an alternative instant hit with a message…let’s see how it goes…

Bands have seen many fallouts across time and place…all over the world, but the the musical duo has managed to come up with a system, which can actually help many musicians out there…let me share with you what Mercurius does, they take turns writing and recording songs…a simple and extremely smart idea.

They have been doing that since they started and it proved its success…hopefully to many many years to come.

…we mentioned that “Make a Difference” has an important message, it’s a brilliant little one…it’s about giving a chance to the young people to rule the world, with their fresh ideas, unique perspective, and lively energy they should be given this opportunity to make a difference…which is quite a powerful statement when you know it’s coming from a father and son musical duo…

…speaking of father and son, it’s Paul Brown on the guitar and James Brown on vocals and they programmed the drums at the Blast Recording Studios in Newcastle.

“Make a Difference” is an alternative rock song with charismatic vocal lines and melodies with some instantly memorable guitar licks and bass lines that lock in with beat just perfectly…

…and it’s of course not a complete rock song with a guitar solo, rest assured, there’s one here…and an amazing one too, melodic, cool, edgy, and soaring high.

Mercurius’ Spotify plays a total of around 100,000 now and their last single, Dead or Live is currently getting approx 1,200 plays per day, which is quite impressive…but not really a surprise with their level of artistic output, great energy, brilliant messages to share with the world and just good ol great rock music.

We wish Mercurius all the best, hoping 2024 would be the year where their star shines brighter and brighter.

Cheers!
