Returning from their three-year stint at Uni in Liverpool, Sterling Press returns to their home of the UK capital with the new single ‘London Girls’. The quartet have supported Stone in Europe and headlined across the UK, showing their powerhouse indie rock credentials.

‘London Girls’ is built on the sounds of the 90s, blending their raw guitar distortion with electronic effects and a half-spoken vocal melody. The drums are tight and choppy, the bass is incessant when the intensity rises, and the guitar tones are frenzied.

The unapologetically indie, organic and coarse finished product, is a kick in the chest, laced with an infectious like-ability and a straightforward structure. With a ring of authenticity, it’s unfiltered and doesn’t try to be anything it’s not.

With their trademark cheeky tone, the band share the origins of the song, “Our best mate got a girlfriend from NYC and brought her to our student house in Liverpool. She was way cooler than us and we ended up writing a song about her… before The Dare got big I’d like to add”
