What do you get when you fuse post-punk, alt-rock, dark-pop and add a unique melodic character of an awesome 4 piece band?

…you get the Vancouver-based band Slightest Clue…and their latest single “Suit Uptight”.

Slightest Clue is the brainchild of these awesome musicians…

Malcolm McLaren, Hannah Kruse, Sean Ries, and Nick Sciarretta.

The song talks about the fear of losing someone you care about…

A heavy yet relatable topic for anyone, no matter what background or culture you come from.

…and as it is a heavy subject, the song manages to music-ify this emotion and translate it to melodies and lyrics…the song doesn’t waste time displaying its energy and musicality.

Starting with the guitar riff, we’re sucked right into the action…then the bass keeps the groove tight…and the drums move us forward, like a locomotive.

The backing guitars have a great dry feel to them that fits the mood of the song just perfectly…and actually display an amazing melodic section with its solo…that’s just amazing.

The energy is strong with “Suit Uptight”…it’s a mix of many energetic things put together, creating a very unique musical experience in the process.

Wishing all the best to Slightest Clue, we can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

Cheers!
