Since exploding onto the historic Sheffield music scene in September 2023, alternative rock outfit Burning Bouquet has been on a rapid, relentless ascent. The four-piece band—comprising vocalist Rachael Dutton, guitarist/bassist Jamie Dutton, drummer Archie Beresford, and guitarist Bhavik Mistry—has quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting new names in the local indie and rock circuit.
Burning Bouquet seamlessly bridges genres to craft a sound that is both nostalgic and fiercely contemporary. Striking a delicate balance between atmospheric weight and pop sensibility, their music draws inspiration from a diverse lineage of heavyweights, including Paramore, Deftones, Holding Absence, Evanescence, and The Cranberries.

The band’s early career was defined by raw, captivating bedroom demos like “M16”, “Take It All Off”, and “Let It Fade”, which laid the foundation for their distinct identity. They soon transitioned into a formidable studio force with the release of their standout track “What You Signed Up For” and their highly anticipated debut EP, The Rain, featuring the fan-favourite single “The Cycle”.
Beyond the studio, Burning Bouquet is best experienced live. Having already commanded the stages of prominent independent venues like Sidney & Matilda and The Greenhouse, the band has built a reputation for cathartic, sweat-soaked, and emotionally resonant live sets. With an ever-growing discography and a rapidly expanding fanbase, Burning Bouquet is proving that they are exactly what the modern alternative rock scene signed up for.
