“I saw you change, just a ghost inside a shell. Minutes before midnight, I watched the lights burn out,” opens up the metal song “Don’t Fade Away” by Detroit-based trio Riding with Killers

The distorted vocals are similar to the likes of Linkin Park, so it’s not a heavy metal song that fills your ears with growls, but rather a soft metal tune that features a grungy sound coupled with the full sound of the electric guitar riffs and the catchy drum kick.

As for the end of the song, the track takes a turn with a verse that is sung in full growling sound, but it doesn’t last for too long and maintains its mellow sound throughout the song, which is featured on the album “Full Circle” and produced by Matthew Laplant.

The lead singer/guitarist of Riding with Killers, Taylor Roberts, actually also plays for Taproot, which is expected to make its comeback in 2024.

“Roberts befriended RWK’s 1st drummer, Dave Coughlin, on tour in 2013, when Coughlin was the drummer of Taproot,” shared the band. “The two linked up for co-writing with friends Tim Krukowski (ex-Sponge), producer Matthew LaPlant, and James Lascu (ex-Wilson). Matthew LaPlant mastered the singlet at Madtown Mix Studios, and the band is rounded out by their newest drummer, Jed Thibeault (Avalon Black, etc) and bassist Kris Kress.”
