The Frank James Band delivers a deeply personal and evocative new single titled “Believe,” out today on Valentine’s Day. Marking a significant artistic departure from their signature heavier rock sound, this track showcases a more introspective and melodic side of Frank James’s songwriting.
Drawing from personal experiences during his time living overseas, “Believe” is an authentic testament to adventure, distance, connection, and the emotions that come with being far from home. The song took twenty years to write and a week and a half of experimentation in the studio to fully realize. Produced by Marc Muir and recorded at Muir’s Music Manor in Cornwall, Ontario, the track will appear on the band’s upcoming album Sweat, Strings & Scars.

Frank James, the creative force behind the band, brings a wealth of life experience spanning continents and decades to his music. His collaboration with Cornwall’s respected musician and producer Marc Muir has been a true artistic partnership, resulting in a song that beautifully balances genuine storytelling with evolving sonic exploration.
“It took 20 years to write the song and a week and a half to record it.” — Frank James
