The Venz is a rock/power pop duo by Chris Brown and JESSICA. I have always held the belief that when we are younger and possess less musical knowledge, we sometimes create masterpieces without even realizing it. “Slow Motel” by The Venz is a true testament to inspiration and creativity, originally crafted for a college songwriting assignment.
From the very start, you’ll be captivated by the soothing drumming style and guitar melodies, leading to some of the most emotive male and female vocals I have encountered in 2025. The collaboration with the frontman’s fiancée on vocals, in my opinion, adds a rich depth to the track. As you reach the chorus, you’ll find yourself even more entranced, ready to sing along with the music.
Even though we live in a fast-paced digital age where many tracks are under three minutes, “Slow Motel” captivates me for its 4:12 duration. I also appreciate the lead guitar in the background, which adds a nostalgic rock vibe that has been largely absent in recent music.
This track brings back memories of my two decades of unfinished music projects, which I plan to release soon. I’m particularly grateful to The Venz for reigniting my motivation to dive back into my music.
