Tom Tikka is an artist we love to feature in Rock Era Magazine. We always look forward to exploring his latest work and sharing our thoughts. His most recent single and music video, “The Day I Found You,” is sure to captivate your attention with its vibrant grooves. You’ll appreciate his emotive and powerful vocal delivery. As noted in his press kit, the track draws inspiration from Paul McCartney’s iconic basslines, and you can definitely sense this influence. The song exudes amazing vibes from the golden era, while also incorporating a fresh, modern twist.
“The Day I Found You” is one of my better ones, I think. It has a great groove and so much energy. I love the bass. It’s the instrumental hero of the song, inspired by Paul McCartney’s basslines. It’s catchy and it was a lot of fun to record. Also, we had a blast filming the music video for the track in London. That’s it for now. I’m sitting at Amsterdam airport writing these notes, on my way to Florence to work on some new material, and it’s time to board yet another plane. These are once again very exciting times. Can’t wait for you to hear the track.” – Tom Tikka explained.
Tom Tikka, a former songwriter for Sony/BMG and WATANABE, is recognized for crafting some of the most melodic and beautifully composed tunes alongside his bandmates, the Missing Hubcap. “The Day I Found You,” from his forthcoming album “Room Full of Strangers,” is sure to have you singing along with its delightful and catchy riffs.
The music video is truly remarkable. I appreciate its simplicity, as it conveys the essence of the song beautifully. Additionally, I have always admired Tom Tikka‘s expertise; he has a talent for selecting and positioning each element perfectly. Once again, he collaborated with his producer, Janne Saksa. I believe this offers an important lesson for newcomers: choosing the right record producer who understands your strengths and knows how to maximize your musical potential is crucial. I have no critiques to share; now, it’s time to enjoy the video below, and be sure not to miss the solo! Cheers!
