Patiently waiting for a minute and half before introducing a beat is never a bad move, especially when the beat hits as hard as it does on Valiancy’s latest cinematic and electrifying single ‘Voices’. A truly outstanding effort from a talented producer making a wide splash in his scene.

Hailing from Lehi, Utah, Valiancy is the one-man musical project of singer, songwriter, and producer Kyle Harris, who singlehandedly takes the brunt of all the efforts conceived to come up with their latest single ‘Voices’. With a rich message and an equally rich sound, ‘Voices’ is a rather wholesome listen that does not slack on any possible fronts.

Recorded at the prestigious rooms of Venice International Studios and put together by Valiancy, ‘Voices’ is a patient slow burner that takes its time to blossom around its gargantuan chord progressions and buzzing synth leads. Electric and electrifying, ‘Voices’ is mainly built around sophisticated and creamy Moog synthesizer passages that are as dark as the context of the words, which revolve around depression and mental health.

Inspired by Peter Gabriel and James Blake, Valiancy’s Gabriel influence is readily felt in his non-linear delivery of the words, giving the song a story-like nature, and his Blake influence can be heard in non other than how strong his electronics are built on top of each other, resulting in a larger-than-life, arena-sized arrangement that is stadium-ready. ‘Voices’ is a stellar listen.
