Zero Saints, a pop rock band from Southampton, UK, recently dropped their debut single titled “Kingston Song” on March 15th. Let’s delve into more details below.
For the first time, I’ve encountered a blend of alternative, indie, and pop spirit, skillfully integrated within a solid rock music foundation. What sets their style apart is the fusion of British and American music influences in a single band, a rarity I haven’t come across elsewhere recently.
The impactful emotional singing, combined with the precise rhythm and captivating guitar melody, make this track truly engaging. With their mellow pop/rock anthem, they have crafted a sound reminiscent of Coldplay and the lighter side of Foo Fighters, attracting a loyal following along the south coast of the UK.
Since their initial release, the band has been meticulous in their production process, overseen by Nathan Wood, which greatly enhanced the final output of the track. Moreover, Zero Saints are passionate about their lyrical themes, with lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Noah Lawlor describing the song in detail “a more intricate departure from what we’d normally choose to write, it’s much more melodic and thoughtful. To me it feels like feeling lost in the slow section of a school dance. The song feels complex and unresolved until the chorus, which is something we were really striving for, this big moment of realization and catharsis”.
Zero Saints have performed across the southern UK, sharing the stage with bands such as Pluto the Rich and Molly Meaker. They headlined at the Hobbit in Southampton and landed significant supporting slots. Additionally, they were interviewed on Surge FM radio. The band is now gearing up for their EP release. In my view, Zero Saints are on the path to becoming prominent rock icons. Cheers!
