Talon Majors brings an intensive fearless energy and uncompromising heft to all of her creative output. This is likely the case because of a uniquely intense, strange and traumatic past, one that was as crude as the subconscious mind, yet it gave her wisdom and humility far beyond her years. Talon’s music and writing function as a form of pure alchemy, where she has grown the ability to transmute a negative input and radiate something truly inspired. On Talon’s radiant and contagious new single “Dream Weaver”, she mysteriously emerges from darkness and mist with gemstones and colored diamonds.

blankMusically, “Dream Weaver” showcases an ethereal, stunning vocal that seems to appear out of ether. The 90’s alternative and indie rock influences are evident. Fans of artists like Mazzy Star, Lana Del Ray and Juliana Hatfield will enjoy digging deep into this level of vulnerability and commitment. The acoustic guitar work, percussion and atmospheric synths support the vocals and lyrics by creating a dreamscape where the story being told echoes throughout the halls of eternity.

“Dream Weaver” is one of 3 songs set to accompany Talon Major‘s upcoming memoir “Watch Her Fall”- a gruesome and heart-wrenching troubled teen industry exposé. The song is a tribute to a forbidden romance forged behind the walls of Casa By The Sea, a boarding school that was shut down for abuse and fraud. Teens were stripped of every basic human right including clothing, grooming essentials and even speech, while being systematically broken down with some of the most heinous military style brainwashing tactics.

“When you are beaten down to a certain level, and have no escape, your mind goes inward. I would focus on anything positive that I could…a bird that flew overhead…lyrics to a favorite song…or a crush on a fellow student.”

While cut off from the world, her family and friends with no means of contacting the outside, Talon lost herself in art and her crush. After all, you can strip everything away from a person, but not their mind.

“The most effective way to reach people is through stories, especially if they are painful, relatable and have a message. It is my hope that in my art, people can feel seen, supported and not “alone”.
“Dream Weaver is a story of teenage romance, delusion and the pain that comes from believing someone’s words over their actions…”
